American campus roles are always the labels: athletes, cheerleaders, nerds, rich second-generation. This time, they all became supporting actors. Because of this short guy who can still keep smiling, keep a warm view, and keep moving forward in a depressed family environment. Even if the admission information he dreamed of was hidden by his biological mother, he would lose his chance of enrolling. But I can still remember his challenge to the principal's prohibition of students from exerting their words and deeds. He was philosophical, responsible, gentle, and honest.
Although the rhythm of the film is different from those that tell great stories, it appears loose and plain, but you can feel the power of some lone travelers. The director and screenwriter are not shouting, just like the hero, smiling and helplessly chatting with you and expressing their thoughts.
