In the house left by his grandmother's grandmother in Kamakura, Japan, there lived the three sisters, Kanda, fortunately, Kano and Chika. One day, they suddenly received news of the death of their father, who had never heard of them 15 years ago. The two younger sisters, who had long been vaguely impressed, could not feel any sadness, but the older sister could not forgive her father even thinking that she had been abandoned. The three people who had done their last duty to offer incense to their father accidentally met the half-sister Asano Suzu at the funeral. They discovered that her biological mother and the woman who had taken her father had passed away long ago, and she had not died after her father was lost. Being treated kindly by her stepmother is helpless. The three sisters decided to accept the child and live with them in Kamakura. This is the story told in the comic film "Haijie Diary".
In order to show the four seasons of Kamakura in the original work, the filming of the crew lasted for a year. Spring, summer, autumn and winter were shot on site in different seasons. The director is just right, simple and neat, and perfectly combines the scenery and narrative. The seemingly plain but agile expression of the friendship between the four sisters, let people feel the small fresh film of Japan that is like a spring breeze. Being scattered and not chaotic is another feature of the movie. The warm atmosphere always makes people feel a touch of sadness. Although family, career, and love are complicated, the mutual assistance and courage between sisters give people the power to move forward.
