War effort

The 280-minute war effort must be highly rated first. Such a large-scale war drama itself is rarely seen for such a long time, indeed tired and rested several times. The visibility is definitely not as long as Gettysburg. . It is just a battle of several days. . The film has a span of more than 2 years and is divided into 5 segments. . From the beginning of the war to the pinnacle of the Southern Army, the first half of the entire Northern and Southern War was filmed, but with a general Jackson as the protagonist, the Southern Commander-in-Chief Li and Northern Lieutenant Colonel Chamberlain played similar roles. . . I really don't understand. . . . There are so many small roles as black slaves, white women, white children, actors, and military officers. . It feels a little messy. . I don't know what the director is doing. . . . . The problem is obvious fiction writer did not deal with the problem
after watching 272 minutes of Gettysburg very much looking forward to the film or read anyway satisfied with the equivalent of 90 minutes even see three movies. . . .
I forgot to recite a lot of lines in this film. . . What god Caesar. . .

Sgt. Buster Kilrain: Seems a terrible long distance up that hill.

Sgt. Thomas Chamberlain: It'll be shortened by those in front.

Sgt. Buster Kilrain: Beggin' your pardon, sir; the only thing that will be shortened by those in front is their lives.

  • Gen. 'Stonewall' Jackson: [commenting on the elaborate uniform of General Trimble] There goes the best dressed man in this whole army.
