Many people say that the pace is slow and boring. Obviously there are too many fast food movies. It’s hard to calm down and look at the beautiful Irish forest, even to experience the foreshadowing.
In fact, I think the male protagonist’s personality is very interesting. This character is not. Perfection is explained from the beginning, self-confident and even arrogant, like taking risks, not cautious, and easily impulsive. In contrast, the heroine is more calm and has a strong motherhood.
All in all, this is a typical European movie, which tastes much more mellow than American popcorn slices.
