The scenes of Tom’s two murders were short and there was no bloody rendering, but the sloshing sea and the hull of the boat in the first time, and the scattered vegetables, chickens and Freddy’s big body in the second time, plus the excessively quiet. The piano soundtrack calmly expresses the different mentality of the murderer.
There are two other scenes that always dangle in front of my eyes. The smiling fish heads in the fish market were somewhat mocking and hideous. Tom, who had just killed Philip, swept his eyes indifferently, and turned a blind eye to Freddy’s body, who had been sitting on the ground for a day, and grilled himself. The scene of the chicken eating the chicken, to figure out the psychology of the murderer in the film at that time, makes people shudder.
The title of this film was often translated as "Sunshine", which feels much better than "The Sinking Corpse". Tom is like the dazzling Italian sun in the film, charming and dazzling, how many desires and sins are about to move in the sun. There is nothing new under the sun, and what has already happened will happen again in the future, and Tom has no shortage of predecessors and latecomers.
Alan Delong's handsome appearance, indistinguishable, complicated and difficult eyes, and indifferent temperament all prove that his fame is only sooner or later. The look that conquered Maggie towards the end was truly "crazy, evil, and deadly".
