A slightly confusing movie in the horror genre (spoilers involved)

The background of the story is the routine of ordinary horror movies. The single-parent and disharmonious family moved into a remote and gloomy house, and then unfolded...
At the beginning of the story, aside the bitten cat, let People have a feeling of psychological suspense. In the mid-term, it was mentioned that the mound was actually an ancient tomb, and there were various hints. People's first reaction is that an evil force such as an evil spirit is at work. There was a shotgun hidden in the house, but the former owner still did not escape the fate of being killed, indicating that this power is extremely difficult to deal with. Even physical forces can't compete. It wasn't until the final answer was revealed-an unknown monster.
So the contradiction of the whole film came: the actual IQ of the monster at the end was completely inconsistent with the IQ that the director or screenwriter wanted to reflect.
The director seems to be trying to tell Mr. Guan how mysterious and tall this race is. For example, from the various explanations of scholars, there is also the ability to manipulate daughters to confuse fathers. But behind the monster appeared until the end of the film. Said they are protoss, but we only saw a group of monsters that only relied on instinct to kill. In order to multiply, it was nothing more than waiting for girls to reach their realm. The basic IQ was so developed. This creature, which looks close to an alien, is not as resistant as the agility of an alien. It has a thin and short stature, and its slender bones seem to be broken in one break. Except for his mouth full of fangs, which looked a little deterrent, the male protagonist burst one shot at random. I really didn't think they had any danger.
The atmosphere of the whole film is very dull, maybe because it is a horror film, the director deliberately added the deaths of cats and hourly workers, and the plot of the male lead visiting the former homeowner. But even so, I don't feel the slightest weirdness, let alone the tension. The daughter's various performances also make people feel that she is just a rebellious adolescent girl, nothing more.
There are several types of horror movies, and each type has different horror and horror points. The director may want to break through the limitations of several types of traditional horror films, so he tried to combine several types of styles, but unfortunately, the fusion did not achieve the effect of the horror, weird and horror. On the contrary, it was because the fusion was too complicated, or not sure enough to integrate into the idea, and it seemed not deep enough in all aspects, so that in the end, it was so flat from beginning to end, and the whole film looked different.
The most commendable part of this film is the end. The son looked at the fire in the distance, a monster slowly approached him from behind, and then the picture ended. If you don’t pay attention to the details, you must think that the boy was killed. But if you look closely, you will find that the outcome is still unknown. The child is holding a family portrait facing the fire. If you look carefully, you can see through the mirror of the photo frame that a person's shadow reflected on the mirror is slowly growing. This shows that the father is not dead and is walking towards the boy. The boy's call was to see his father, not to mutter to himself that his father was dead and desperate. As for whether the father can save his son, it is left to the audience's imagination.
