Wolf in the wall

Borrowing Neil Gaiman's fairy tale book "Wolf in the Wall" as the title, the movie itself has little to do with fairy tales.
From being a producer to a small recommendation, as long as a movie is related to Quentin Tarantino, it will not lack attention and topics. In recent years, Quentin’s work as a producer has basically been mid-level playbooks such as "Hell Rider" and "Iron Fist", and in terms of recommendations, except for the "Snow Country Train" and Kevin Smith that make mainland audiences want to see. In addition to "The Red State", the most conspicuous is the Israeli movie "Big Bad Wolf". As Quentin’s brain-remnant fan, this film was immediately accepted when it was released, and it feels that I love Wuwu and Wu are quite good.
The story of "Big Bad Wolf" is actually quite similar to the first "I Want Revenge" of Park Chan Wook's revenge trilogy. The disappearance of a little girl leads to a discussion about the dark side of human nature and the fate of evil. Only this time, the little girl was raped. Killed, and the head was cut off cruelly and disappeared. So, the little girl’s father and a policeman who believed in underground law enforcement started their own revenge and investigation because of different motives. What was even more unexpected was the suspicion. Man turned out to be an ordinary teacher. When the movie is here, there is enough drama conflict. Two parties are hunting, one is anti-hunting, one is outside the judicial system, one is entangled within the system, and the other is even more unpredictable because it is not clear whether it is the murderer. , But the director is obviously not satisfied. Nearly half of the film, the girl’s father and the police formed an alliance because of the same suspicion. They kidnapped the teacher to a cellar in a remote hut in the country, exhausted like a broken finger. Tortures such as tearing nails, smashing the back of hands and even using airbrushes to bake to force teachers to confess their guilt. When the movie arrives, it jumps to a context similar to Quentin’s own "Falling Dog", with absurd and strange dialogue, untimely cold humor, and a little bit. Non-convergent violence, just a scene of torture is almost equal to Michael Madsen's "Rapture Rhapsody" in "Falling Dog", but the third unexpected advancement of the plot has yet to come. The teacher refused to recruit, the police began to doubt their own inferences, and finally had a disagreement with the girl’s father who "walked all the way to the dark". After the failure, he was also imprisoned by the girl’s father. At the same time, the girl’s grandfather suddenly visited and watched. At this point, I completely fell in love with this movie, and I pretended to conclude that the film would end in a Cohen-style all-round loss. However, the ultimate reversal of the ending once again completely beat me back to its original form.
Watching "Big Bad Wolf" is like watching several movies at once. At the same time, it is difficult to guess how the director will arrange the plot direction next, because every fork will always have several roads to go down, which is also This film is a very good point in the play. The title comes from a fairy tale told by the girl's father in the movie, not Neil Gaiman's, but an ancient and rather terrifying fable of revenge, which is also appropriate for use here. The cellar in the film is closed and dark, like the character's vengeful negative psychology and cruel behavior. When the beast in the human heart deprives the rational right of speech and rages in the dark like a hungry wolf, fatal punishment may not be far away.
PS: Since I am watching English subtitles, if there is any misunderstanding of the description and opinions in the text, please watch Ke Haihan and correct me, thank you!

An expressionist work without any purpose, the dark comedy is more than suspense

It's suspenseful to force you to watch the movie seriously, the middle section about the little girl eating cake has made it clear who the real murderer is. You even pulled out "The Very Suspects", and when he saw the "Top Ten" of Kun ruffian, he blindly worshipped

  • Gidi: Don't you want to discuss the strategy?

    Micki: Strategy?

Gidi: You know... good cop, bad cop?

Micki: There's no room for good cops.

Gidi: No problem. Bad cop, bad cop.
