The film is all about the life of two people taking hallucinogens from beginning to end. This style fits Johnny Depp too much. He always bends his knees, leans back, and turns his hair into a big Mediterranean bald head. Wearing glasses, it's fun.
The idea of this movie is the same as the plot. It is not single and straightforward. Tompson Hunt tells us about his life in Las Vegas for 4 days and 3 nights like a report. That's it. He didn't say about him. I like this kind of psychedelic life, and he doesn't say that he hates it extremely, just life.
Of course, this is not a purely funny comedy. It actually reflects the life and state of mind of many Americans in the 1970s, those hippies who are completely psychedelic even without taking psychedelics. There are madness in every direction. You can strike apart everywhere. There is a fantastic universal sense of what we are doing is right, and we are winning. This is what they are, and it lies in venting in some unbalanced ways.
So I think, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, mostly, fear. Because people can really change very little, and very few people are willing to change.
In any case, this is always a very humorous movie, if you like Johnny Depp, then you can't miss it!
