As the second part of the trilogy, "Gods and Generals" is actually the prequel to "The Battle of Gettysburg". Too much reflection and the expression of the Bible passages are indeed boring, which may be the main reason for the poor box office. . But while the film itself shows the history of almost three years from 1861-1863, it uses several southern army generals as the protagonists to tell the story, which itself illustrates the American attitude towards this period of history. When an army of two Irish descendants faced the battle, what we saw was the cruelty of the civil war and the sorrow of the nation. When a southern soldier and a northern soldier were exchanging food in the middle of the river, what we saw was the nature of the civil war. Although the two sides hate each other in terms of ideals and ideology, the cohesion of a nation can quietly resolve all this. Finally, I want to say that a civil war is a civil war. There is no right and wrong, and there is no dispute between right and wrong. It is a tragedy in itself. The Americans corrected this mistake immediately after the war, eliminated prejudice and estrangement, and developed. And when we face the national tragedy, it is really embarrassing that we are still so intolerant after a period of time has passed.

Very good, excellent production and performing arts. The historical view of Americans on the Civil War shown in the film alone is definitely worthy of every Chinese person's careful consideration.
