From the perspective of the structure of the dramatic tension, the two roles of Elling and Bjarne are both static and moving, Yin and Yang. The former not only has strong social phobia, but is as sensitive and jealous as a woman, and the latter is like a woman. The rough masters just hit their heads against the wall at every turn. Although they were hungry for women, they still cared about his old partners. For many years, after all, the two brothers have been working together in the same room, and they have not communicated much with others. So when Elling found out that Bjarne had a woman, he said to himself, "Am I in a love triangle?" It really made people laugh.
It wasn't until Elling met a poet that such a nondescript love triangle had to face the test. Although Elling was excited about having a stranger, she didn't want to be kicked by her old partner again. In the end, she had to borrow him. Only clean underwear and socks can go to the broken place.
Don't think they are really stupid. They use dull methods to face these mature people, but they can liberate the most sincere feelings. For example, I just want to save this pregnant woman, and I just want to become an underground poet. Write the poem and hide it in the cereal box, how cute! Ellefsen did a great job!
Life only needs to go on like this. There is no truth to be told. The truth lies in all the bits and pieces, just like the cool and orderly society in Oslo, two low-competents, but they all have their inferior places, and there is such a thing. A little bit sentimental, but without hurting the essence of happiness.
This kind of warmth has always been the favorite of Seattle youths, no wonder they won the Golden Space Needle Award. Two years later, a similar animated short film about the low-energy people got our attention. It was Harvie Krumpet. After another 6 years, this short film expanded to Mary & Max.
