The director’s rough hands ruined my whole sister

The story integrates a lot of commercial elements, the interpretation of the classic western vampire theme in the oriental background, the revenge journey of killing Bill-style beauty/Katana, the Hollywood political drama where multiple forces are fighting against each other, and the plot with the murder of mother as the redemption terminal is even more letting people. Thinking of Darth Vader's classic "I am your father"... I can't blame Oshii Mamoru for this book. The story itself has too many good reasons. Not to mention that there are all-girl school uniform queens who are reloading.

But the director's rough hands made everything a different look. The story is told everywhere, but only half of it. Although the cut-off between cut-off and cut-off is fairly smooth, but the climax always leaves before it comes. In martial arts, soup is not soup or water. All sisters get a head every time they pick up a knife and drop a sword. They have no technical content at all, and they are all female Popeyes who are able to open their bows from left to right. The filming of Wenxi was in a hurry, and it didn't wait for you to enter the play. As a commercial film, if the literary and martial arts are poor, the audience really won't watch it.

Fortunately, photography and art are still bright spots, and the atmosphere rendering of several scenes with different styles is quite in place. The scene of the Dark Street War has a blade-killer feel, reflecting the West's consistent understanding of the night scenes of Japanese cities. The two scenes of Kato’s Death and Mother-Daughter Battle were selected in the natural scenic areas of the woods and the wilderness respectively, which have the charm of oriental martial arts films. But don't expect any innovation, just seductive.

The stunts suck. The title and the report convey a strong message of "blood is soaring", and the special effects in modern vampire-themed films are the key to success. But there may be budgetary issues, or the production director may be hacking money, and the special effects that he does are not as good as the title of the game. Chopping down, blood sprayed out in bead-like clusters the size of tomatoes. Where is the sticky blood, like blood sausage.

In the end, the whole sister and Xiaoxue had a scene where Smith and Ni coaxed each other in English, which really shocked me.

  • Michael Harrison: Well, you know the old saying; "When the hungry demons feed without discretion..."

    Saya: "Onegin is near."

  • Onigen: You think the more demons you kill the more human you become, don't you? How naïve.
