The Map of Tiny Perfect Things guides the direction

After getting up, the handsome boy Mark (Kyle Allenshi) yelled out the answer without even looking at his father sitting at the table doing crosswords. When he went out on a bicycle, he threw a piece of chocolate to Lao Li who was running on the road, or reminded Uncle Wang that the car key he was looking for was there, and then carefully pointed the way to the little girl on the road looking around. Everything is so natural, it seems that he has been doing these things all his life.

is it? indeed so. Mark is now in a closed loop, that is, he keeps repeating the same day. At midnight, everything went back to yesterday, so whenever he wakes up in the morning, he instantly knows what will happen throughout the day, but everyone around him doesn't know that they are just repeating their last day. He just spent the day freely and easily. Until one day, he saw a young lady who appeared by the swimming pool without playing cards as usual. What is the reason? This aroused Mark's curiosity. After observing for a few days, she always appeared in front of him without following the routine. He believes that she, like himself, is also trapped in a comrade in the cycle of day after day.

Needless to say, Mark found her, as he imagined, Margaret (Kathryn Newton) was trapped in this circle just like him. The two of them introduced each other to the things they had seen and gone. I also left WeChat for future contact, oh no, phone.

They wandered on the streets of the small city, cherishing all the beauty around them, but Mark was always unwilling to see the same people and the same things day after day. The problem was solved but not solved, but the same problem remained the same the next day. The effort of the previous day was wasted in vain, and there was no progress in life. Therefore, I hope to break this circle and return to normal life. Even my own family members are trapped in this circle because of this, repeating every day without accomplishing anything. Just as his father who wrote a book struggled on the same page every day, his sister practiced the same violin tune every day. Not only is he going in circles, but his family members are also going in circles with him.

(spoiler)

But Margaret didn't think so. She is going to the hospital to visit her dying mother. Because of this, she intended to see her mother every day. As a result, she entered this circle as she wished. It was precisely because she did not want to let her mother go, she insisted on staying in the circle, and for this reason she and Mark parted ways.

Until one day, her mother told her that she was still young and that the road ahead would be very long. She realized that it was not a real life that she was stuck here. Except for monotonous repetition day after day, without growth, progress and pain, this is not a real life.

She retrieved Mark again, and walked out of this circle together according to the map he compiled and faced the real world.

The ancestor of the cycle movie should be "Groundhog Day (1993)", and there have been many legally concocted ones such as: "Palm Springs" "Palm Springs (2020)", "Edge of Tomorrow" "Edge of Tomorrow (2014)", "Looper (2012)", "Butterfly Effect" "The Butterfly Effect (2004)", "Source Code" "Source Code (2011)", "Suddenly Seven Days" "Before I Fall (2017)" etc. (see my blog post " Atang Ge's sci-fi blockbuster "Edge of Tomorrow" ", "What did "Sudden Days" teach us? ", "Farewell to Palm Springs", " Farewell to " "Palm Springs" , "What did "Sudden Seven Days" teach us? ", " Tang Ge's sci-fi blockbuster ") and the recent Netflix TV series "Reincarnation Party" "Russian Doll" and so on.

Okay, let’s go back to the question of the cycle again. Are people outside the circle surrounding them or are they just dreaming. Let's put it this way, for young people, every day is the same, too monotonous. So sooner or later I want to get out of this circle. A colorful life is exciting. Because they still have a bright future. We can only say that Margaret is more Buddhist, so she is a little reluctant to live in the cycle, but in the end she has a great realization and returned to nature.

To put it this way, when we entered society and became social animals, after several years of tossing, we discovered that apart from aging, our lives are similar to entering this circle. Every morning at work, I came into the office and met a familiar face. I was scolded by my boss. When I got home, I went to sleep after dinner and watched TV. So in our real life, it is also made up of different cycles. At school, at work, I became a family, had children, and retire. However, this kind of circle is open, and when the time comes, one will go to another circle, one by one, until the end of life.

We can see that Mark thinks of helping others, and Margaret is reluctant to leave this circle because of her filial piety to her mother. Anyway, they are just two ordinary people who have entered an abnormal world. There they have joy, sorrow and love. But in the end they chose to walk back to the ordinary world.
