Record agent Matt is on the verge of a career crisis. If he fails to sign a new singer for the company, he will be fired. One day, a new opportunity appeared. Matt's father Ben, whom Matt hates so much, is also a world-renowned photographer. He used to have a private life and abandoned his family. Now he is suffering from cancer. There is not much time for him to catch up with the last Kodak in the United States. Before the printing shop closed, he developed the last four rolls of film. If Matt is willing to accompany him to drive with him, he can get an opportunity to meet with emerging bands. In this way Matt, Ben and his personal assistant nurse Zoe embarked on this journey together. In order to fit the theme, the film is very attentive in composition and color, especially the enhanced treatment of red and yellow, which clearly echoes Keda's logo. In addition to Leica cameras and Kodak films, some iconic elements of that era, such as tapes, paper maps, and popular songs, also appeared in the film. In the end, Ben didn't wait for the photos to be developed and died in Enron. At the end of the film, when Matt watched these photos with a slide projector, he discovered that he hadn't seen his father well in his memory. The photos he was still thinking about in his last days turned out to be family photos of Matt when he was young.
This film is an online movie. Obviously, the producer doesn't have much ambitions, and there is no way to polish the story. In one of the scenes, Matt gave up the upcoming band because the other party made fun of his father impolitely. The transformation of this important character is very blunt, and it feels a little forced. Also, the arrangement of the role of Zoe is a bit awkward. The excessive scenes seem to be inconsistent with the theme, and there is no need to express the love straightforwardly with Matt. Of course, as the biggest cast of the film, Elizabeth Olsen, without her starring, it would be difficult for the film to have the current quality. But the film’s emotional expression was very successful, the hospital’s father and son reconciled, the photographers turned on the flash to see off Ben, and Matt looked at the photos at the end of the film and these bridges were all touching enough.
