The beginning of the Old Testament Genesis focuses on two things. One is God's use of words and eyes to create the world, and the other is the inescapable original sin of mankind.

In the Garden of Eden, Adam was also a man full of imagination. He named the living creatures on the ground, and later Eve gave him the fruit; later, he was punished to work hard on the barren land.
The story of Zu and Jiafei is interspersed throughout the movie in the form of memories. Moreover, it starts with death (the body in the river) and ends with death (the innocent person is sentenced to hanging).
Sex is the manifestation of original sin, and death is the result of original sin. The ancestor is relatively numb on the question of whether sex has a moral meaning, but death is heavy for him.
