A corpse floats through our hearts

After reading it roughly, I really like the name: Young Adam. Some people translate the movie into a deadly sentiment based on the plot, which is a naive understanding. Because the movie does not tell about love, the canal is not water but time and the passing world.

The beginning of the Old Testament Genesis focuses on two things. One is God's use of words and eyes to create the world, and the other is the inescapable original sin of mankind.
The core of original sin is betrayal. The betrayal of God caused Adam and Eve to be expelled from heaven and toward the cursed earth. More importantly, it opened the two major themes of human life: sex and death.

The movie is full of the betrayal of women in reality, the woman of the shipowner, the woman of the truck owner, and the woman of the homeowner. They betrayed their own men and have sex with their ancestors.
The ancestor is Adam. His characteristics are silence and obedience. On the issue of sex, he has no moral judgment and only vague expectations.
In the movie, Zu is a literary creator who is supported by women. He was later hired as a worker by the shipowner. When he is okay, he sits on the barge, reading, smoking, or thinking about something. The scenery on both sides of the strait passed slowly by the sunset.
In the Garden of Eden, Adam was also a man full of imagination. He named the living creatures on the ground, and later Eve gave him the fruit; later, he was punished to work hard on the barren land.

The story of Zu and Jiafei is interspersed throughout the movie in the form of memories. Moreover, it starts with death (the body in the river) and ends with death (the innocent person is sentenced to hanging).
Sex is the manifestation of original sin, and death is the result of original sin. The ancestor is relatively numb on the question of whether sex has a moral meaning, but death is heavy for him. Jia Fei wrote on the mirror that he gave him, seeing yourself means seeing me. This is not a sentence of love, because he does not seem to need love, his life awakening comes from God's death punishment. Just like this, death is a mirror to the living who lacks meaningful support.

We can imagine that Jiafei’s corpse floats in Zu’s heart, which makes him care about the world, because this corpse was caused by him. Although it was an accident, it will bring new misfortunes, and he cannot change things by himself. Direction.
Such a corpse would float through our hearts. When we indulge in desire and forget the original revelation, we will also see in the mirror our dying face and the world of sadness flowing with the setting sun, and we will be enlightened.
