The forest evil spirits do not feel like evil spirits. They seem to be more like flesh-eating spirits that have been parasitic in the tree hole. The frontal combat ability is not very strong. With the ability to manipulate people's memory, the ending is reversed. The atmosphere of the whole scene is also there, but maybe I don't think it is strong enough. Perhaps what the director wants to express is not the evil spirit itself. More horror comes from memory modification. Forgetting is the greatest fear! The evil spirit is just an introduction. There are not many bloody scenes and not many battle scenes. Confused or manipulated, only you understand everything, but the irreversible atmosphere is still quite terrifying!
