Turning point of history

This film is very plain. It basically shows the details of some events and the statues of sentient beings at the time. It does not raise any questions or provide answers. It just shoots the known and relatively uncontroversial things. Except for the Americans who strongly sympathized with the Kennedy incident, everyone else would have no interest. However, why is a president who has only been a president for three years so important?

In addition to young, handsome (American aesthetic), elegant wife, lovely children, Monroe's scandal, what special charm does Kennedy have?

I think that in the long run, the Kennedy incident may be seen as a turning point in history, the beginning of the end of the golden age of the United States. The Americans before and after World War II were really dazzling like ancient heroes. Kennedy’s father was so rich and his brother died when he drove a plane to shoot down a V1 rocket. During World War II, he drove a torpedo boat and was hit by a Japanese warship. At that time, the Americans escaped. That noble, brave and idealistic spirit, that kind of absolute self-confidence, is still dazzling today.

Because we have fought in real battles, we are more cautious about wars, and we are more guarded against the abuse of national military power.

Under the shadow of the Cold War, Kennedy refused to invade Cuba, prepared to withdraw troops from Vietnam, develop the moon landing plan, break apartheid within the country, and develop civil rights... The United States could have embarked on a path of continuous improvement and development. The goal of conquering was the stars. The sea leads the future of mankind.

However, the gunshots in Dallas changed the United States. The United States embarked on a road of continuous fighting. After fighting with the dragon for a long time, it will become the dragon itself. Under long-term combat, the military is no longer a good family member of compulsory service, but a place where the lower-class people eat and eat. It is a shortcut for immigrants to obtain a green card. It is a major customer of arms companies, and it has also emerged as a "defense contractor". This kind of mercenary has gone farther and farther from the founding spirit of the United States.

President Kennedy was assassinated. A few years later, his brother was assassinated while running for the presidency. A few decades later, his son died in a plane crash before entering politics. Was it a conspiracy or a family curse?
