"taxi"

1⃣️The overall picture is without any modification. Rough images. There are two cameras in the whole process. One is an analog driving recorder and the other is a little girl’s micro-single camera. The lens is fixed in the taxi. It’s a bit of realism. The reality of the system that reflects the reality of society is not just the reality of film censorship

Ending point of view: A group of hooligans dismantle and demolish the machine, and the screen ends in pitch black

2⃣️The status quo of Iranian society: Taxi shows the status quo of Iranian society to the fullest. What you see is undoubtedly the social outlook of Iran.

3⃣️Content: The opening content of the film has already picked up a few customers as soon as it is in the early stage In the opening dialogue, everyone can see that these two are thieves and robbers.

Another passenger, a woman, was sending her husband to the hospital in a car accident

In fact, this passage shows that women’s sovereign rights and interests in Iran are not guaranteed at all and they are not respected at all.

Also, it’s almost impossible for European and American movies to be released in Iran, so people who want to watch some European and American blockbusters in Iran have to trade through pirates.

What attracts me the most is that the previous exchanges between the lawyer, niece and the driver satirically reflected the censorship rate of Iranian films.

Although the picture of this movie is rough, it is actually a hypnotic movie in the same tongue, but through this movie I have realized the real social life in Iran.

The point of view has never left the taxi from start to finish. In fact, this point also confirms what the female lawyer said:

Some people are always doing something to make us understand

We are being watched by them and lingering over their usual tactics

They turn your life into a prison

When you get out of your home, the city becomes the biggest prison

They turn your best friends into enemies

Either you can only escape from here or you can only look forward to being jailed to the end

In short: don't hesitate

Who said no? The point of view has not left the taxi, it also confirms that Jaffa's state of the Iranian film censorship system treats taxis as prisons. The city is a prison.

The subtitles at the end of the film also explain that the film cannot be released in Iran. Just like in the film, several passengers asked Jaffa "You have changed your job as a taxi driver" but Jaffa smiled and subtly avoided answering like I'm saying that it's better to be a driver if you keep doing this

Taxi quotes

  • Nasrin Sotoudeh: They work in a way that let us to know they are watching us.Their tactics are obvious.First, they write you up a police record. Suddenly, you are accused of being an agent for Mossad, The CIA, or MI6. Then they tack on something about your morals, your lifestyle. They make your life into a prison.Although you are released from prison, but the outside world is only a bigger prison. They make your nearest friends into your worst enemies. After that you think all you can do is either leave the country or pray to return to that hole. So i think it's better to let it go.

  • Jafar Panahi: Those films are already made, those books are already written. You have to look elsewhere, you have to find it for yourself.
