This article has a lot of spoilers, not comics, it is recommended to eat after reading
(The following is purely personal opinion. I am a fan of science fiction, a novice in liberal arts and physics, there are not many movies/dramas without comparison, only analysis from the plot itself)
Personally, I think the best thing about this episode is to explain the obscure physics theory to the general public (such as me) in the way of film and television plots.
There is no lack of echoes in the interpretation process. Looking back, I found many details, which are interesting and easy to understand.
1. Detail 1: Title
Each episode of this show will have a title. This episode is called Six Degrees of Freedom, and it is also one of the things (heaven) and principles (book) knowledge explained.
2. Detail 2: "Pen" experiment
At the beginning of the film, upon hearing the news that various countries on the earth were firing missiles and that mankind was about to die, the spacecraft still decided to set sail as planned.
The science brother put the "pen" in the air and found that the "pen" was weightless. He frowned tightly, planting the seeds of suspicion.
In the second half of the episode, the little brother broke out. When he turned into a rapper, he mentioned his experiment at the beginning (this part of the mouth is too fast, I looked back several times and found this echo), which also led to the title six The theory of freedom.
Speaking of this, the interesting thing is that no matter whether the audience really understands this physics knowledge, anyway, knowing that it is super three-dimensional, it is not difficult to understand that the five people in the film are placed in the "six degrees of freedom" experiment.
3. Detail 3: I see "them"
The same is the fragment mentioned in the mouth of the brother.
Replaying the previous details, when the little brother was detecting the artificial intelligence "Tina", he saw an alien-like human-shaped thing in the detector.
4. Detail four: "big filter"
Back to the beginning, after hearing the news of the destruction of the earth, the little brother immediately thought of the "big filter" theory. It is also the second physical term introduced in this episode besides Six Degrees of Freedom. What I said here is quite slow, so you can study this theory carefully.
It's actually very simple. The reason why we didn't find aliens is because humans perished before they found them. This is true for each cycle before or after, so assume that all intelligent creatures in the universe have never encountered each other? (Personal literal understanding by liberal arts students)
After talking about the "big filter" theory, I mentioned here that our task is well-designed, which is a necessary process in human history (highly intelligent creatures). (Personally, I think it also reflects the suspicion of my brother, I suspect that their mission this time was designed)
"After my brother died", the other four successfully "arrived" to Mars, and the captain said "We passed."
Through the final plot, you can see that the only one who really cleared the level was actually the little brother.
5. Detail 5: Repeated lines
Continue to look at this paragraph of the little brother's mouth. A bit crazy mood + a lot of physical terms, people look confused.
OK, let's look at the part that ordinary people can understand.
In the whole paragraph, the little brother said "They are watching us" 6 times in total.
The first time: After finishing all my assumptions and calculations and the previous experiments, I am angry
Second time: yell to inform teammates of this fact
The third time: I re-recognize this fact, helpless
The fourth time: repeat weakly, express your own helplessness
Fifth time: Tell me about my 105-day experiment (touching Baba) + physics principle, repeat the principle of six degrees of freedom. I realized this fact again, and I almost cried with grief and anger
Sixth time: Repeat in a low voice, weakly telling teammates the truth again
I have to admire the acting skills and perform the repeated lines very well (really restores a crazy science rapper.><.)
6. Detail six: badge logo
This is something I don't quite understand.
In the film, the astronaut’s clothes logo “whipple” is featured on many occasions. I believe it is used as a code name for an aviation activity (or company name?)
This word must have a special meaning, but after searching the Internet for a long time, I couldn't find why it is called whipple.
