The most commendable thing about this movie is its beauty. Richard Gere, Kim Basinger, and Oumatherman are all at their best, their beauty is at their peak, and photography is very particular, so it's worth just looking at the pictures.
The plot is also quite good, it can almost become a magical film, but unfortunately it is a little bit short. Since it takes the psychological thriller route, it will go to the end. I feel that after escaping from the psychiatric hospital from my sister, it quickly collapsed and turned into a second-rate action movie with too many unreasonable points.
If the hero wants to get dumbbells, he should coax his sister first, and then break up after getting the dumbbells. As a result, he was very genius to come up with a trick to stimulate his sister, replace her sister looking for dumbbells, and then oriole in the back. This is too wishful thinking, right? What if my sister drew her gun and shot her on the spot? What if my sister calls the police directly? What if my sister finds dumbbells and calls the police to pick them up?
After the elder sister killed someone, she called the police directly at the scene of the murder. Aren’t you afraid that the caller’s number could not be explained? After the police received a call at the beach and learned that there were important exhibits, they didn't even go back to the police station to meet, or sent the police to escort them. Instead, they made appointments at the beach to make a beacon scene. Is it necessary? After the hostess has subdued the police and the male lead with a gun, where do you drive? Is it inconvenient to kill people directly by the sea and throw them into the sea? After a car accident on the beach, the male protagonist had to carry dumbbells to escape. Isn’t it too heavy? If you are not good at your own evidence, just throw it into the sea. Hard work to get to the top of the lighthouse, at least it can smash people, the result turned out to be a handrail.
A small part of the screenwriter at the back of this movie seems to be written by a completely different person from the previous one. It feels like a dog's tail. What a pity...
