With the background of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the hatred between races is difficult to resolve. Children’s toys are guns. Human lives are so fragile and small in front of guns. The director did not exaggerate and emphasize anti-war propositions like other such subjects. In the days of ordinary people living in the gunpowder barrel area, they delivered baby lambs, fell in love with each other, talked about wine and mulberry, monks took care of the crops, and the love between men who had reunited for a long time was deep, and you could smell the dirt everywhere. The fragrance of the country and the atmosphere of the countryside, however, this endless day is shrouded in the shadow of the gun...The
film is composed of three short stories that echo each other, "Word", "Face", and "Picture". The structure is very careful. Ingenious, but without a trace, simple and atmospheric, the music is all local music, and it matches the breathing of the film extremely harmoniously, reaching the hearts of the people!
It’s been a long time since I saw such a movie that I liked in my heart. I remember that when I watched "The Wooden Shoe Tree" and "The Gypsy Age", it was also such a joy:-)
