The real point is-there is no explanation

The bad reviews are all right. This film is a jump scare. There is no plot, no character creation, no ending, no explanation. I have always believed that the content is far more important than the form. The works without a good story are mostly spicy~ But I really like this movie.

Because "no plot" matches the theme of this movie. It creates a human fear of the totally unknown. You can't understand why, you can't understand what they are, you can't observe, you can't predict, and you can't solve it until the end. Want to see the combination of three Ghostbusters and Sunset Red show their magical powers? The theme of this movie is obviously not that kind of thing. The three old people have spent their entire lives studying weird phenomena, while the other insisted that humans should not touch areas that are not human, and should ignore them as much as possible. They have exhausted all their tactics just by observing these phenomena correctly. It is a fantasy to fight against it~

After watching the film, we can all understand that the real protagonist is the sheriff. That's right, the brawny man who said, "Hey, I'm so good to persuade me that my heart is not good, I will quit". He started appearing after the third incident, and from the very beginning he asked: How can I explain it to others? From the time his son’s carrion came home, to seeing the weird creatures questioning the old grandmother’s nature of their existence, he has been pursuing an “explanation”. Uno told him: This is not the truth, but this is your explanation to others. When faced with something that you simply cannot understand, the explanation is not equal to the truth. The explanation is a comfort, and it is a lie that allows your spirit to bear the reality. When the sheriff gave up and suddenly rushed back to burn the house, I think he finally accepted the matter: some things are destined to have no explanation.

-¿ Tiene que haber una explicación, no? Algo, algo tiene que haber. (There should always be an explanation for all this, right? Anything is fine, there must be some.)

-No mucho. (Not much.)

In my opinion, the two sentences of dialogue between the sheriff and the old lady are the real theme of this movie.
