The 6th #法罗岛电影节# will bring you "Franz" on the 2nd screening day of the main competition unit. Here is the evaluation of the struggles of the dead on the front line!

Wipe:

It was Manet's "Suicide" that gave Anna the courage to live, and it was Adrian, who was weak and gentle, who gave Anna the final response, giving her freedom and fearlessness. Lose nothing, bottom out, rebound, and live toward death. I like the change between black and white and color. The color part is not a memory, not love, but a living light of hope.

Xue Tony:

What a beautiful movie. The plot and the direction of the story are actually very routine (the male protagonist tells the truth in the middle of the movie), but the exquisite emotional rendering in the second half of the stage, hesitating and stopping, saying "it's too late", and doing everything.

Day trouble and night trouble:

The play changes Ou Rong's past strange feelings and weirdness, but focuses on the relationship between men and women after the war, redemption and minor injuries, and the passing cannot be chased. The impact texture created by black and white light and shadow is somewhat of Italian neorealism.

Danshui Riverside:

I don’t know if it’s Ou Rong’s relationship. I’ve been thinking about the dog’s blood. In the end, it’s quite plain and restrained. The calm and delicate feeling makes my perception very comfortable. The theme is not only anti-war, but also wants to analyze the male protagonist at a deeper level. The complex and diverse emotions between women, Ou Rong is very precise in emotion.

Too much smoke:

After watching two movies that I don't like, the arrival of this "Franz" is really touching. In François Ou Jong's film, a sad and beautiful story unfolds slowly.

The plot is generally good, and the love story of this inconsistency is still very moving. Although a few subtle clichés and expectations are inevitable, the overall degree of completion is very high. The technical aspect is also very good. The combination of black and white images and color images makes the style of the film more colorful, and the interspersed artistic embellishment and exquisite soundtrack make the film full of elegance.

The performances of the two actors complemented each other, and the presentation effect was excellent. Especially in the performance of the heroine Paula Bell, the transition between the restraint in the first half and the swaying of emotions in the second half is not inconsistent. The natural, smooth and flowing performance should be affirmed.

Everyone is burdened with their own secrets. On the one hand, the heroine swallows the truth about the murder of her fiancé, on the other hand, she has to smile at her parents-in-law, and face the people she has fallen in love with and have to leave her. Who can happily endure such a life?

Under the delicate description, it is the most vulnerable side of the human heart. Every emotion is mixed with inexplicable ups and downs...

An An An and:

He bloomed new flowers in front of the cemetery where she stood for a long time every day, he re-squeezed out the bright colors in her black and white world, and he left white lies on the land where she had been bombed in her heart. Even the family of her fiance encouraged her so happily, making her really foolish and naive to believe that hope can be born in a barren life. Even if she has gone through a fruitless trek, it is better than wandering in her hometown forever, every step under her feet is desperate. Because she really, once ignited hope.

Only after watching the complete film can I understand this stare on the poster so deeply. Across the fetters of life and death, across a battlefield filled with despair, across her bruises and bruises running to him without hesitation, across the greed that keeps herself alive like a life-saving straw. In those colorful lies that we tried hard to weave, the sound of the piano is like a complaint, and the destiny is scattered.

Her Majesty:

Indulge in the beauty of the heroine, unable to extricate itself. Ou Rong really doesn't forget his original intention. From the first shot, he knew that he wanted to tell you a story. Of course, this time he was not strange and restrained. The theme of World War I is actually quite unfamiliar to Chinese audiences. As long as the beautiful moments in the film are in color, even if it is fictional.

Owner of Faroe Island:

Adding sporadic colors to black and white materials is an extremely clever way of expression. The typical representative is "Schindler's List", which is alive under depression, prominent and unobtrusive. The tender and bright red is still in my heart. Using obscure changes to slide the character's mood more intuitively is quite similar to "Single Man".

In my opinion, "Franz" is not a "black and white film" in the strict sense. Black and white shots are not a form of artistic expression, but more like auxiliary plots. The use of a large number of black and white images is only because of the endless sadness of the characters in the play. The heart is sad and bleak, and the lens is naturally colorless.

An understatement is to describe the complex relationship between nations and nations, individuals and individuals after the war. It's just that this life that can only be sustained by lies one after another is the death, disease, and poverty that war brings to people. Invisible disaster beyond.

fire_storm:

Ou Rong, who was accustomed to playing with viewers, turned a big turn. The photography is beautiful, and the lens is restrained enough, and even the plot is not as messy as it used to be. However, it feels that the play is still a bit under-polished, and the front and back splits are quite obvious. Even if a lot of small details are added, the flaws are still not covered.

Bloody love story:

The pain of memories is black and white, and the yearning for the past or the future is colored. The inner struggle of the characters during the color conversion is vividly reflected. Franz has never had much drama, but his shadow of death entangles the past, present and future of every character. A person's life always has to go on going round and round. Perhaps only after experiencing the pain of despair can one know how rare and precious the future life is.

Snow-Nashville:

Revolving around war, lies, and love, the film explores how to deal with political and personal issues within the moral framework in a subtle way, and asks questions: What is the advantage of truth over Germans? The amazing performances of the actors and the black and white landscape photography make this movie even better.
