Vincenzo: Boss, the first to break away from tradition and family.
Simon: Fallen.
Rocco: Saint.
Ciro: Now/hope.
Luka: Youngest, the future/hometown.
Simon has been falling, Rocco has been trying to save him, not hesitating to give to the woman he loves, and even signing a 10-year boxing contract to pay off his brother's debt.
In the end Simon killed the woman they loved together and was reported by Ciro.
Rocco completely lost hope and ran away from home.
Luka, the youngest in the ending, accused Ciro, and he said the following.
"It's unfair for you to say this to me. When I was young, we left home. Simon, not Vincenzo, made me understand that we are livestock in our hometown, busy working and obeying. He said that we are not slaves, and don't forget our responsibilities."
"In the end, he forgot all. And because of this, his ending is to ruin himself and make us humiliated. He hurts Rocco and hurts you."
"He has good instincts, but he let these disappear. He consumes Rocco's kindness and generosity. Rocco is a saint, but what can he do in this world? He will not protect himself, he is too forgiving. One cannot always forgive others."
I saw many people cursing Vincenzo said that he was irresponsible as the elder brother of the family, and in the end he was unwilling to take on Simon's debt with Rocco. But as an ordinary man raising his wife and children, how much can he ask of him?
In this cruel world, we all have to learn to pretend, if we expose everything to anyone, we will only hurt ourselves.
After all, it doesn't matter if you are a saint, a wicked person, or someone who has nothing to do with yourself. As long as you can accept yourself and live without any regrets, you should never judge other people's choices.
That's enough.
