There are as many expectations as there are disappointments.
The most disappointing point-we don't know whether the male and female protagonists in the movie really love each other. The hero heard that a beautiful woman named Selena was the orphan of the timber tycoon. The family died in the fire, but she escaped, so he chased her and asked her to marry him. Then the camera turned around, and it became that they were in bed with clouds and rain, neither the people who looked at them were dry, and they couldn't make people think of the throbbing love. When the two people in the back joined and took the train to the forest of North Carolina, the man announced to everyone that this was his wife and the mistress here. We still couldn’t see love, but instead felt that the man had been with him repeatedly. The business partner emphasized that "she will not take away a penny". It is more like a lonely woman who is eager to return to her loving childhood and growth environment and is used by a profit-encouraged man.
Not only are the images created by the male and female protagonists vague, like ordinary people with so much money in their hearts, but even the many deputy actors behave too inexplicably. I don’t understand why the male lead’s partner says that he is rebellious, and what is the meaning of the so-called forest guide who can predict the future? Neither contributed a lot to the plot, nor did she show great evil or great wisdom. Apart from the indirect cause of Selena's miscarriage and suicidal hunting with the male protagonist, there seems to be something missing.
The only comfort is that the film shows a majestic jungle beauty. There is fog and scorching sun, there are stretches of primitive jungles, and there are bitter cold winds. It’s not bad to appreciate the cold beauty of the American jungle through boring stories.
