The story tells the exciting story of how Francis, the male protagonist sentenced to death, successfully escaped from prison a few hours before his execution. In order to escape the Nazi prison, Francis planned a seamless escape plan.

In order to ensure that the plan is foolproof, he not only prepared enough to escape from prison, but also washed the only time, and contacted the inmates in the cell next door many times to try to find an alliance to implement the plan together. But before he could get everything ready, he was sentenced to death immediately. In the end, he resolutely took the young prisoner boy on the road to escape.

The narrative method of the film is very literary, the characters are at the core of the play, and the environment is set for it. The simple and straightforward lens language coupled with the inner monologue that never digresses. Bresson used this kind of purposeful clarity and focus to remove all impurities outside the plot. The core events envelop the core figures. Reflections on religious philosophy are reflected in the film.
