Human and Nature

In the daily comics I have seen, whether in TV series or movies, there are many civet cats as the content, and most of these are about the relationship between civet cats and humans, from the emotional aspect. Yesterday, I watched the movie "Various Tanuki", and I felt that the style was very different. The theme was environmental protection, and the content was mainly about the war between Tanuki and humans. After watching it, I felt very touched.

Human beings have destroyed nature and the living environment of civet cats and some other animals for their own homeland and for their own interests. In order to retaliate against humans, civet cats practice transformation skills and learn their skills. The civet cats become humans and other monsters to scare the construction team. Humans regard these as "spiritual events", and this approach does not play a big role. Humans still continue to develop the forest. The film tells from the perspective of a civet cat, calling on humans to protect the ecological environment. Even if they want to develop and develop the economy, they should not sacrifice other lives. There must be restraint in everything. Humans should live in harmony with nature and animals instead of becoming their natural enemies.

Remember I commented? Why do you have to comment again? The super long animated movie, the raccoons have to live and the foxes have to live so imaginatively~

The ending of Miyazaki's story is somewhat hopeful, and Takahata is a forced smile after being powerless. I thought of "Wolf Walker" more than once, of course, it is a pure fairy tale, so it can have a very happy ending (plus the number of ethnic groups... birth, what is born...) The civet cat is still pure animal form and looks good

Pom Poko quotes

  • Ponkichi: If we get rid of all the humans, that means... we'll never eat tempura again! Or beef jerky! Or popcorn.

Tanuki: Hamburgers! Donuts! Potato chips! Pepperoni pizza! Chicken wings!

[Gonta is moved by this. His eyes tear and his mouth waters]

    Gonta: I can taste it!

Seizaemon: So, then, do you think it would be alright if we kept a few humans around, Gonta?

Gonta: [wiping the saliva from his mouth] We have no choice.

  • Shokichi: Master, would you re-enact the tale of the young samurai who shot the fan?

Hage: Ah. I'll need some help.

[He transforms into Nasu no Yoichi. He flies towards the crowd. Gonta's eyes bulge as he realizes that Master Hage is homing in on him. The crowd of tanuki scramble. Master Hage lands on Gonta and clings to his back. The Taka tanuki struggles, then hops around on all fours and turns into a horse. Hage rides around the clearing. Water seems to flood into the clearing, and Master Hage rides Gonta into it. Before them is an image of the sea, and three boats. One of the boats has the image of a woman standing on the bow of the boat and a fan on the top of the mast. Hage draws a bow and shoots the fan, sending it flying into the air]
