The plot of the story is a bit like the Chinese version of "San Mao Wanderings". His childhood was very different from the children who are cared for like babies at home nowadays. Oliver had only scolding, beating, and working in his childhood. He has tasted countless hardships in the world (fleeing hard, strayed into the den of thieves, and teaming with the murderers...), but in the end he was lucky and got happiness with the help of good people.
The atmosphere of the film is completely faithful to the atmosphere of the novel. Each lens in the film not only has very high color saturation, but also has the texture of European oil paintings. The beginning and the end of the film are all British slate-style pictures. As the plot progresses, they gradually become real scenes, giving the audience a feeling of historical pictures. The setting, performance, music, and costumes are all very British and oil-like. The picture is very textured! And the cute little Zhengtai's English accent. The melancholy eyes of Barnet Clark, the actor of the male protagonist Oliver, perfectly interpreted the original work. All the characters in the film vividly show the good and evil of human nature. Just like the last sentence of the novel: "In their lives, they have shown sympathy and kindness to other people just like God has shown to all living beings."
No matter how fate treats you, we should use a kindness. Heart to embrace the whole world.
