Recently, I learned that "Freedom Fall" is about to release a sequel, I couldn't help but became excited, and went to revisit the first part.

This movie is not so much about Mark being bent by Kay, as it is about Kay making Mark discover that he is a bisexual. The first half of the movie tells about the meeting of Mark and Kay and how Kay tackles Mark. The middle part is about Mark’s entanglement with Kay, his wife and family, and the last part is the departure of Kay and his wife. Mark chooses his true feelings. . In this movie, Mark is a person who suppresses contradictions. He has a wife and then a child. He is a person who is fettered by the family. He chooses his own inner feelings at the end of the movie. Kai is a person who dares to pursue love. He is also a bit selfish and kind. He is a little eager to be recognized by his lover. He doesn't care about the eyes of outsiders. He will pay for love, but he is indeed hurt by Mark, so he chooses Leave.

The transition between the front part and the middle part of the movie is the part of having sex in the rain. This is also the transition when Mark really accepts Kay, but when Mark accepts himself, it is the part after Nakai left. It is often easier for people to accept others. It's hard by itself. In this movie, both Mark and Kay are very sexy. Mark is the kind of melancholy and deep sexy, and Kay is the seductive sexy. Every time Kay advances with confidence, it will always make it difficult for Mark to sink and retreat. The happiest part of them is probably before Mark accepts the birth of Kay and Mark’s children. It is really complete happiness, but after the highest point, it declines. This film also uses sunlight perfectly. Except for a few scenes where the sunlight is backlit and spilt from the front, most of the rest comes from the sunlight coming in from outside the window. I can’t tell why the director did this. But it does make me feel the only warmth between Mark and Kay.

Although the title of this movie is called Liberty Fall, it is a choice that truly disregards the world and obeys the heart. Kai is a person who dares to chase love. He always grasps the right thing for every attack. He will pay for love, especially the part in the rain. He pains and enjoys it. His expression is full of happiness, so most people like it. In addition to his appearance, Kay’s reason is that he is a man who rarely has no restraints in daily life, so he ignores some of his mistakes, such as finding a girlfriend and learning that Mark has a wife and choosing to pursue him. Mark is a contradiction. Huang Zhizhong once said that half-hearted people cannot get happiness. Mark is indeed a little bit half-hearted. He did not dare to accept Kay’s love directly but did not choose to refuse. He was responsible for his wife but also He didn’t restrain his love for Kai, so it seemed that he was a bit weak, so in the end, Kai and his wife both left. The audience would feel that he deserved it, but he was actually the same as most people in life. He was treated by morality and surrounding eyes. Fettered, he is more three-dimensional than Kai, but not as ideal as Kai.

In fact, if this movie puts the characters in reality, then both Mark and Kay will be scolded to death, and I feel that Mark's wife is so pitiful. But this is just a movie. The perspective chosen by the director makes this movie quite good. Now I am looking forward to the second one more and more!

[Marc punches Kay in the mouth]

Marc Borgmann: I'm not gay, Kay. Got it? It was just a one-off with you. So stay away from me. Stay away from me, Kay.

  • Marc Borgmann: Shit. What are you doing here?

Kay Engel: Is it broken? Let's have a look.

    [touches Marc's broken nose]

Marc Borgmann: Ow. Are you crazy?

    Kay Engel: I'm gone already.

    [kisses Marc]
