Recently, I have watched a lot of these kinds of films, and I have mastered the routines of directors and screenwriters. Personal experience, this kind of film (especially made by the British) basically gives the audience three impressions. Take this film as an example.
The first impression: the picture is very beautiful, the light halo is intoxicating, the scenery in the movie and the actor's appearance are all eye-
catching. The tune reminds me of the
third impression of another spy war romance film "despite the falling snow" filmed by the British : music, artistic conception, very suitable for the scene, unconventional, the audience is easy to fall into it,
so the above-mentioned characteristics, The positioning of the film type is debatable. About politics? It's about spies? Create suspense? In my opinion, this is just a literary film dressed as a spy.
Having said that, let's go directly to the film.
In the first chapter (Morocco),
in many paragraphs, the director used a lot of "opposites" to highlight the depth of the work. Of course, the "literary and artistic style" pictures are the finishing touch, and each frame is enough to attract the eye.
The first antithesis: In the restaurant, the extravagance of Dima and his party is the same as the restraint of Perry and Gail. The
second antithesis: the comparison of human nature, Perry's simplicity and Dima's tricks (you can see through the shorthand credit card number). The
third antithesis: The contrast of character, the
three different opposites of the gentleman attribute Perry and the gangster attribute Dima , can well interpret the artistic conception in the director's mind, and also introduce the audience into the spy film routine. There is indeed a set.
The second chapter (UK), the
plot went to London, Perry and Gail returned to the UK with the USB flash drive given by Dima.
The first opposite: Dima's USB flash drive. Gail is ignorant of the existence of USB flash drives and Perry shoulders the mission given to him by Dima (need to hand over the disk to British officials to obtain the right of asylum) The
second opposite: the opposition between colleagues, the just, persistent and unscrupulous Hector The first antithesis of the
third chapter of Aubrey (France, Paris) , who is intrigued and scheming with interests
: British officials vs. Russian gangs, Hector, who is dedicated to serving his country and ignoring his friends and enemies, and Dima, who is dedicated to considering the safety of his family. The
second opposition. : The gangster vs. Professor, Dima's composure and calmness and Perry's anxiety, who is deeply embarrassed (surveilled by the prince's slave). The
third opposite: Hector's external and internal contrasts. He wants to get evidence of crime but ignores to protect Dima. A group of Hector and Hector who reveal their heart and sincerely want to help Dima. He must do this for nothing.
The
only opposite of the fourth chapter (Switzerland) : the prince repeated the same tricks and tried to use the previous trick to kill Misha, but failed. Dima’s sophistication and the prince’s immature
fifth chapter (the French Alps) The
first opposite: Hector who returns to England, the generously speaking Hector and the indifferent high-ranking officials. The
second opposite: In the woods of Alps, Dima is Perry’s gratitude confession and Perry’s gratifying smile. The
third opposite: Dima’s crash and Dima’s family’s regaining freedom. The
last opposite: the last series of shots of the film, with evidence in hand, and Hector, who is extremely happy and has no crowds. Everyone known. This is a metaphor: The decisive battle between Hector, who holds the evidence, and the high-ranking officials who hold the power, has not yet begun, and who will die is yet to be known. The result may also be that Hector rides the dust, and it is more likely that all the evidence is like a mud cow into the sea, and everything is nothing.
This is the end of the story. What is the result? It may be known by watching the sequel.
