I watched it intermittently last Saturday. I can’t help but think of the "Hannah Arendt" I watched not long ago. I don’t talk about the shooting skills. Just starting from these Nazis, whether the crime they committed was because of their own evil or was it serious? Driven by the environment? In the film, Zav was suffering from Alzheimer's, and Max from the same nursing home told him that he was going to avenge his family who was killed in Auschwitz. In this long process, it is not difficult to see his kindness and love. Heart, embracing the gay German who was once locked in Auschwitz "the same", talking with the children we met during the journey and in the hospital, we never see that this kind old man was once a murderous executioner. In the same way, the last old man who used to serve as a guard in a concentration camp with Zav taught his daughters and granddaughters very well. It can be seen from the decoration environment of his home that he has definitely been struggling for so many years. It can be inferred. He is also a highly respected person in the local area. The crime of the year was brought up again. When Zav killed his companions, he also ended his life. The moment he must have restored his memory, he must have felt all kinds of feelings in his heart. Is it a crime? remorse? Shame or guilt? How did this good man who was considered by us to have a sense of justice in the past, on this road? The people who committed the big mistakes have already repented now. Should we be punished? Does the crime committed have anything to do with how many years have passed? This is really a question worth thinking about.
btw, the actors praised their acting skills.
