New film in 2015, recommended. Serious spoilers, those who haven't watched the movie enter with caution.
This is a film about women, a warning to women. What is the most important motif in a woman's life and the mistakes she will make, that is, the pursuit of marriage, children, vanity (for youth, beauty, clothing). The director used the three independent fairy tales of Naples to express exactly such a core theme: how to be a woman. Rather than loose themes or bizarre, bloody stories interpreted by other readers.
The three stories overlapped, and for the convenience of narration, I wrote them here: first, second, and third.
The first story: express the relationship between a woman and her son (children). The infertile queen, with the help of the wizard, ate the heart of the sea monster and gave birth to a beautiful boy. But she also paid a price for it: she lost her husband. But she did not grieve for it. When she walked past the loss of her husband, she didn't even look at him, but directly took away the bloody sea monster's heart with her own hands. You should know that this silly husband went to assassinate the sea monster alone. When she ate the heart of the bloody sea monster, she felt so happy.
When she got her son as she wished, the woman who helped her cook also gave birth to a boy with the same appearance at the same time because of the smell of cooking the heart. In the process of growing up, the prince was inseparable from another "brother" who was in a disparity in status, but his mother banned him from meeting with friends and even murdered his friends on the grounds of the disparity in status. One day after his friend was gone, he was killed. The prince ran out of spring water and gushing blood. Knowing his condition, he went to find his friend. But the queen thought her son ran away from home.
The intriguing story is in the last plot. When the son finds a friend, and when a flying monster appears, the flying monster wants to bite his friend. At the last moment, the prince blocked his body in front of his friend, the flying monster stopped attacking and stared at the prince with clear eyes. The prince then drew his sword and stabbed it, the flying monster fell to the ground and died, and finally turned into a queen. This moment is really intriguing. It turns out that the Queen paid a huge price for her son to return to her side by turning herself into a flying monster to kill her friend. What does it mean? It can be interpreted only when combined with the words of the wizard. The wizard’s words in this movie are very philosophical, “They cannot be separated.” “Every desire, every action corresponds to another, and your strong desire can only be satisfied with a corresponding fierceness.” The beginning of a life There must be another end of life, and the world is balanced. "
In this queen, it is obvious that a son is more meaningful than a husband. She gave her husband in exchange for a son. First, it warns us that the relationship between husband and wife is far more important than the relationship between woman and son." There are three phases of empathy and love. ... The third paragraph is about the love of mature women for their children, especially their sons. "When she regards her son as the whole of her life and is willing to pay all the price, her meaning of life has already deviated. At this time, her love for her son has become hurt, because the best maternal love is separation. For the purpose. The mother should not grab a relationship in the name of love.
Because the son's friend Joseph is here to symbolize the son's self. So he and him are inseparable. It is not a friend. The growth of a child is him. The process of self-searching. If you bind him to prevent him from searching for himself, you will eventually lose him. Therefore, the love for your son must be separated, otherwise it will become a lover complex.
The second story expresses women's obsession with youthful beauty. The king is a lustful man. Once he found that there was a "girl" singing under the castle, so he gave her jewelry and wanted to date her. But the woman was actually an old woman, and she also had a younger sister who was also a female dye shop worker who was also imprisoned. For the sake of vanity and eroticism, this sister actually glued her wrinkled skin and flesh, so that the king would not light the candle, so she would sleep with him. After dawn, the king found out the truth and threw her down from the castle. Fortunately, she did not die. She met a witch who fed her with milk and turned her into a beautiful fairy-skinned beauty. When she was bathing by the lake, she was discovered by the king and married as a queen.
The implication of the story is also in the second half. The queen invited her original sister to her wedding and told her her true identity. The younger sister developed envy and jealousy, unwilling to leave the castle, and even watched their intercourse moments. She kept saying "I want to be with you." Is it because of her sister's affection? no. Because I want to become as young as my sister. My sister had no choice but to deceive her by saying that she was what she is now after she was skinned. So she believed it to be true, and she really skinned herself.
The absurd behavior of the sisters is actually not ridiculous. In life, women are blind for the sake of youth, beauty, and glory in life. Isn't there anything that is as stupid as a village woman? A woman’s career is her appearance. If you think like this, you will see yourself as a tool in a patriarchal society. Vanity and the endless fanatical pursuit of beauty, this is a major demon of women. The most terrifying thing between people is comparison. My sister originally lived in peace, and unlike her enthusiastic sister who wanted to seize the opportunity, she was still more sensible. But when she saw her sister's current life, she had a strong fascination.
In the end, her sister's appearance failed during the Queen's coronation ceremony, and she ran out in shame. Even the magic of a witch has a validity period. This tells us that appearance has a time limit, and hope that it will last forever. This is a kind of obsession.
The third story is about marriage. The king who is obsessed with raising lice has a grown-up princess. The princess springs up and wants to marry. But the king did not intend to marry his daughter. One day, when his huge lice died, the king suddenly thought of a way to select his son-in-law and let people guess what animal skin it was. But it was this who hurt his daughter miserably. Because it turned out to be a huge savage who sniffed it out by relying on his nose. why? Because he drinks blood from hair and has an unusual sense of smell.
Why did the king choose his son-in-law this way? One possibility is that the king did not want to marry his daughter, because he believed that no one could answer this question, so he could keep his daughter with him again. At the same time, he believes that a woman's marriage depends on God's will. Since this question is so peculiar, the person who can answer it must be God's will.
In fact, the daughter is also at fault. Because what she understands about marriage is that she finds an ideal husband who is brave, strong and handsome. But this is not necessarily true. She did marry a very brave savage, and the savage at least liked her. But this is still a completely failed marriage. Because, first, the person who meets your ideal conditions may still be extremely inappropriate. These conditions that he meets are not the essence of an ideal spouse. 2. Only when you become a brave person can you really "find" such an ideal person. Because your characteristics have "attracted" such people to "gather" to your side. This may also be the law of attraction. Therefore, when the princess has experienced such pain, a savage, and has grown into a brave person, and let the whole country know about the princess’s "brave deeds", at her coronation ceremony, there will be brave and handsome people who will take the initiative to perform. Get her attention. Therefore, the "little princess" was "made" in this way. Woman, your name is not weak. Marriage is not your career, only you are your biggest career. For marriage, women should keep this in mind.
Just as power, money, and sex are the three major themes of men in life. These three stories are the three life themes of women, and they are also the three demons of women. Dealing with these three relationships is a successful life.
