(The following may contain spoilers)

1. Pentamerone

movie adapted from the stories of the 17th century "Pentamerone" (also called "the story of the story"), author Giambattista Basile. "Five Days Talk" includes the oldest versions of King Thrush, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Cat in Boots, and Girl Lettuce, but they are all dark versions. In the interview, the director admitted that "Five Days" is not for children. The original is full of sex and violence (the film has been harmonized by the director).

He said that in the process of reading the original book, he felt that these stories were very familiar. In fact, there are reflections in modern society: for example, the story of two sisters rejuvenating, put it today is plastic surgery; and today's mothers can have no bottom line for the sake of their children.

In addition, these few stories all use fables to tell people's excessive desires and become obsessions: for example, the queen to the child, the emperor to the fleas, and the emperor to sex. Obsession is the theme that the director has always wanted to express.

There are a total of 50 stories in "Five
Days ". The three stories in the film refer to: Story 9: La cerva fatata, the deer
Story 5: La pulce, a story triggered by a flea, Story
11: La vecchia scorticata, the three sisters
(the Chinese translation of the name is subject to the Gutenberg plan version),
but the director actually referred to other stories and mixed some plots together.

2. Director Fellini, the famous Italian

director, regards Fellini as his male god! He believes that Fellini was neo-realism at first, and later transformed into the fabler style of "Fellini Satyricon"; this is also the case for himself. The previous work "Reality" (2012) (won the Cannes Jury Prize) was in Allegorizing reality, this one is to actualize ancient fables.

3. Shakespeare

This is the first English film produced by Italian director Matteo Garrone. Because the director feels that his film has some Shakespeare elements, and the famous Italian writer Italo Calvino once praised the author of "Five Days" Giambattista Basile as "an alternative Shakespeare of Naples."

4. The oxygen tank for fighting the sea monster In the

first story, the king who fought against the sea monster wore a 16th-century "diving suit". In fact, this costume did not have an oxygen tank, so he could continue to fight the sea monster underwater. It's strange...

5. The bear

performing the hula hoop in the hula hoop bear film comes from a Russian circus, named Tima, and the animal trainer in the film is also Russian Pavel Vyakin. Tima has mastered more than 200 instructions, but there is a lot of controversy about Pavel's animal training method on the Internet, and there are also opinions that this film is generally not good for the animals that participated in the film (there is also a peacock that was kicked).
