But every little thing in a simple plot story is based on the most true and profound emotions in the character's heart, and it is precisely this that makes us feel that everything the little boy does is reasonable and moving.
In the desperate situation, we can do more besides complaining and waiting.
After learning that the father of the little owner boy was captured, almost everyone in the town felt that he would not come back. Even the eldest son, London, acquiesced in not having a father's life. When everyone teaches us to compromise and adapt, Little Boy tells us to persevere.
We all believe in perseverance and belief, and we all believe that they will have great power. But in the long-lasting despair, we are more willing to listen to the teachings of "compromising and forgetting", and it is difficult to stick to the truth of "persistence and conviction". Because giving up and adapting are the easiest to do, or "the most cost-effective and economical".
