As always, there are two white Americans in this film, very kind and just white Americans! This kind of film that uses social media to promote American capitalism is not uncommon, but I still watch it unconsciously and enjoy it.
I don’t understand Brazil’s social system, but I generally understand that Brazil is very similar to China in some respects: rich human resources and materials, but poor management has led to obvious polarization between the two countries, and the poor are too poor. At the same time, the rich are still exploiting the poor.
This film may reflect the political darkness of this society. Violence and corruption have flooded Rio de Janeiro. With the help of two white Americans (an English teacher and a preacher), the three children who grew up in the junkyard broke through numerous difficulties and completely wiped out Santos, the most corrupt official. Although it is impossible for a real society to achieve such a dramatic effect, the whole film is still full of positive energy.
At the end of the film, I guessed the ending when I saw the film halfway through. Although the filming technique is superb and the angle is special, the film costs a lot and can get a good box office. But in my opinion, it is still a typical Hollywood movie, with the same ending and rhythm. However, at the end of the film, when the boy and Jose girl Pia were playing on the beach among the blue sky and white clouds, they were still touched.
The hardest part of the whole film is the three protagonists, climbing high and low, and working hard to pick up valuables in the trash all day long. In general, it is a great film with a lot of investment. It is highly recommended.
After watching this film, I really want to see the original appearance of the original novel.
