They are tempted by a colorful and seemingly hopeful leaflet, and want to break free from this predicament and find a more promising future. But the sad thing is that this leaflet has led them into a darker and cruel abyss. In the end, although Xiao Lao was arrested, the larger demon was safely hidden behind the scenes. His reputation and property were not lost a bit, and people no longer held accountable. But this is also the reality of the social transformation period. The villain can be safe and sound, and may receive various commendations from the government afterwards, but a crime will be buried by time and then forgotten.
