As for the protagonist’s poor initiative and the supporting role overwhelmingly dominant, that’s a characteristic of many Hitchcock films, such as "Northwest", "Thirty-Nine Steps", "Doctor Edward", "Butterfly Dream", "Rear Window" and so on. Isn't it all like this? Which one depends on the protagonist's own ingenuity to actively solve the problem? Isn’t it all by shit? This is not to blame for the actors.
