Lost love

I watched this movie a few days ago. Generally, I can understand the feeling of losing a loved one in this movie. Not comparable, but generally understandable.

and i thought about you every day and night.

So I can understand why it is difficult for TS and his parents to face him again.
There is no reason, and it is not bad.
There are some things that you can't stand and have to bear.
Still can't stand it.

When you lose an important person or thing, maybe you will start resenting the world, resenting fate, resenting the people around you, and all the indirect causes of this result.
Then resent yourself.
Until the few remaining people and things that can be cherished are far away.
It's like TS's journey alone.
Then I realized that it was probably because God thought I didn't cherish it, so I took away what I valued.
What is important is often that no one knows better than what they have.
Pain is real, and nothingness is inevitable.

The Young and Prodigious T.S. Spivet quotes

  • Layton: Angela Ashworth says AIDS are bad and I probably have them.

Layton: Well! Next time, you just tell Angela Ashworth, just because she feels insecure about being a little girl in a society that puts an inordinate amount of pressure on women to live up to some physical standard, it doesn't mean that she has to take out her misplaced self loathing on a nice little boy like you. You may be an inherent part of the problem, but certainly doesn't mean you have AIDS.

Layton: I'm not sure I can remember all that.

Dr. Clair, Mother: Well, then just tell her... she's fat.

    Layton: OK.

  • Father: [Spoiler] So I'm mute, and I'm dead?
