One vote decides who is the president. In reality, it will only happen in extreme circumstances. It often happens that when you push something to the extreme, you can have a deeper understanding of it. Therefore, this film takes the presidential election to such an extreme. We have a better understanding of elections and democracy, that is, every citizen who has the right to vote should cherish this right. Of course, under such extreme and absurd circumstances, the film also exposed the unscrupulous and unprincipled methods used in the political field to win victory.
The little girl is small but independent, smart and kind. The father loves his daughter very much, but he doesn't do enough to let her down. After going through this whole incident, the father-daughter relationship has changed a lot, and the father knows how to be a better father. This should be a factor that moved people, but I finally discovered that this was not the main reason that moved me.
I think Americans will definitely disdain this movie because they have personally experienced elections, and they will definitely say "too ridiculous, impossible" when they see this fictitious plot. In reality, even if they choose the president themselves, they may still disappoint those who elected him after they finally take office. Therefore, the importance of voting rights expressed in this movie, listening to the voices of ordinary people and who needs to be president, I think these may make Americans who enjoy democratic rights dislike or even dislike them. But I have totally different feelings about me in a different political environment. I don't think preaching, and I don't think it is absurd. If there is no possibility of such absurdity, then it is absurd.
Was that performance by Kevin Costner himself? It was pretty good.
