When realism meets idealism

In order to treat his wife, almost all of the family property was spent. The insurance company refused to pay for compensation. The only savings that he expected were lost to the broker’s investment mistakes. He was heavily indebted and even lost his job. The wife committed suicide and the house would be taken back by the court. The helplessness of friends, the indifference of the world, and the realism rarely seen in American TV shows are vividly expressed in the opening credits. We all want to have a stable job, a healthy body, and a harmonious family, but these have become a luxury in today's society. The rich are richer and the poor are poorer. It seems that it has become a common state of life.

The lengthy preparation makes people have an urge to press the fast forward button. The happy ending should be something that is lacking in domestic films today. American movies are as always personal heroism, and we will solve the things that the government can't solve by ourselves. This is what many of us want but don't have the courage to. So, when I see that Jim has justice and freedom at the same time, I believe everyone will smile.

When I saw Jim's wife committing suicide, I felt a little sad. The frustration reached the bottom, but Jim still tried his best to clean up his mood and go home. It was because of his sense of responsibility to the family. However, his wife chose to commit suicide at this time. Maybe it was because of guilt, maybe, yes. Because I don't want to hurt Jim any more, but in this way, all the problems are left to Jim on another level. However, perhaps this is what created Jim's heroism.

A person, when he has nothing to lose, is either depressed or stands up to resist. When realism and idealism collide, ideals will be swallowed by reality. When reality gives you a fatal blow, at this time, do you choose to admit defeat? Or stand up and fight back?

Jim Baxford: [voice-over] I'm still alive and free and I promise I will keep killing. They should all know that I am out there, a soldier of the people... and if the government, the prosecutors and the judges fail on their duty, I will not fail on mine.
