The Planet of the Apes series has a huge and complete world view.

In 1972,

astronauts Taylor, Dodge, Stewart, and Langdon began their first interstellar exploratory voyage.

The astronauts "Captain" (unknown name) and Brandt flew along the same route as the previous spacecraft to explore the cause of its mysterious disappearance.

In 1973,

a spacecraft mysteriously appeared in near-Earth space and landed on a California beach. It was discovered and recovered by the U.S. Navy. The spacecraft was piloted by three ape doctors, Cornis, Ziri and Milo. The series of events in the third part of the series "Escape from the Ball of the Apes" began.

The incident ended with the birth of the baby Milo and the brutal killing of Ziri and Cornis.

From 1973 to 1982,

unmanned probes could complete long-distance interstellar travel (based on the discovery and popularization of superluminal navigation). At the same time, the government on the earth became more and more centralized to deal with the increasing economic, Political pressure and energy crisis. Milo has a new name "Caesar".

In 1982,

a plague began to spread. Humans discarded dead cats and dogs and other pets and began to raise small primates. The improvement of the environment gave birth to the government's establishment of slavery, and the semi-public administration of the ape tribe was established in 1986. Their harsh training and enslavement of apes day after day have brought rapid progress to the evolution of apes.

In 1991,

Caesar turned 18 years old. Armando took the entire circus to an unknown city on the west coast of the United States. The fourth part of the series "The Conquest of the Apes" begins.

Eighteen years after his birth, Caesar became the leader of the apes riots.

From 1991 to 1992,

Caesar led his people from the city to his "land". Here Caesar tried to build a united family, including his people and some human advisors.

1992 AD

The nuclear war broke out. Major cities in the world have been destroyed, and some surrounding areas still have areas suitable for human survival to a certain extent.

From 1992 to 2001, the

human condition did not improve at all, and the sparse population made the remaining populations hardly connected to each other. Caesar's territory is completely independent and accepts survivors to join his territory. A new society in which humans and apes coexist is taking shape. Aido called himself a general and began to train an army of gorillas. Caesar's son was born into the world and named Cornelius.

At the same time, another branch of humanity is also developing. The humans who survived the war lived in ruins of cities, and they were called "mutants." The city full of hatred is ruled by the inspector of Colp.

In the year 2001,

the story in the fifth part of the series "Battle of the Apes" took place and ended in misery. Humans won a small victory and temporarily gained equal status with the apes. Colpe, Aido, and young Cognelli died in this incident. Caesar died

in 2040

, at the age of 67, and survived without heirs. His rule allowed apes and humans to live and lead very well. He has been respected and loved by the people throughout his life.

In

the city in 2070 AD , the mutant gave the "Alpha-Omega device" (actually an atomic bomb) a religious meaning.

In 2750 AD,

legislators in the New York area wrote the Holy Scroll, which described the past of mankind in detail and painted what mankind was like in the first place. The decline of mankind reached its extreme

between 3085 and 3955 AD

. Around 3400 AD, the effects of radiation and the deterioration of their own intelligence continued to erode human brains. They were forced to leave the cities of the ape races and away from the abandoned human cities, into the jungle, and begin their primitive life in the wild. Since then, humans have been used by the apes as experimental animals and recreational objects.

3955 AD

The first spacecraft landed on Earth, carrying three surviving male astronauts and crashed into an inland lake in the southern United States. The strong impact during the fall made the instrument malfunction, and the instrument time was misread as 3978 AD. The story of the first "Planet of the Apes" in the series begins.

In 3955 AD,

the city of the ape tribe was strongly impacted by political undercurrents. Ziri successfully relied on Taylor's experience and ability to calm the turbulence, but the war that General Usos provoked afterwards still exceeded his expectations. Since Taylor disappeared, the scouts near the "forbidden zone" also disappeared one after another, and the war began. At the same time, Cornish and Ziri secretly helped the genius Dr. Milo of the ape race to try to repair Taylor's spaceship. They are planning to escape this ape city that has lost the light of truth. Brandt’s spacecraft landed

in 3955 AD

, and the "Captain" and other crew members lost their lives in the fall. The story of the second part of the series "The Lost Ball of the Apes" begins. Brandt met Nova and went to find Taylor in the city of the apes.

Two days after Brandt arrived: Finally, the "Alpha-Omega device" that was taken from San Francisco to New York and was later regarded as a holy relic, was detonated by posterity in the vault of St. Patrick's Cathedral. Everything was destroyed. The explosion and smoke caused the demise of the entire planet. The explosion caused Cornish, Ziri and Milo who were driving the spacecraft in low-Earth orbit to receive a violent impact. It was... 1973 AD.

Above, a complete ring.

The 2001 Tim Burton edition is not included in this worldview system, so this article will not introduce it.

2011 "Rise of the Apes"
As for this newly released prequel, at first glance, the plot described in the introduction looks like a remake of the old version of the fourth "The Conquest of the Apes". The film has completely abandoned the classic circular story structure in the old series of movies, and only retained the most classic story line of the first 1968, and re-creation on this basis. It is not an exaggeration to say that there is a connection that seems to be nothing, because the protagonist is also named "Caesar", which is also a great dystopian struggle. At the end, the reasons for the demise of human beings are also different, which is left to the audience to discover.

Battle for the Planet of the Apes quotes

  • Abe the teacher: No, Aldo, no!

  • Caesar: Ah, if only my mother and father, whom I was too young to remember... If only they'd lived, perhaps they would have taught me if it was right to kill evil so that good shall prevail.

MacDonald: But you know, Caesar, history shows...

Caesar: Oh no, no, no. That is human history, not ape history. Ape, never kills ape.
