There is no back-off game (no or a small amount of spoilers, does not affect the first viewing)

At first, I decided to watch "Footprints" in order to see the beautiful fur. Two typical British men and a house form the theme of this movie. It is undeniably attractive, but it is still worrying-will the plot be boring, the gimmicks will be enough, the acting skills of the actors will be drowsy, a common problem in literary films. But just look at the lineup of "Footprints": Pinter, the screenwriter who won the Nobel Prize for Literature, Kenneth Branagh, who has directed and acted in "Henry V", and the old dramatist Michael Caine, known as Jude Law of the "British Roses" and the original screenplay of the movie Anthony Shafney. So, who would care if this is a remake of a small-cost literary drama. Of course, someone will say that a large lineup may not produce a good drama. If there are people who think so after watching "Footprints", it is either preconceived of the original 1972 version, or it can only show that commercial blockbusters with plots inserted in commercials are more in line with some people's tastes.

"Footprint" opens with a monotonous change of perspective, tedious dialogues, and old-fashioned stories. The old man who cheated on his wife left a note to his wife’s lover in order to express his ill-will, and met in his own home to negotiate; the little man also wanted to boast of this. Going to an appointment because of a derailed relationship; in the final analysis, it is for the self-esteem of a man. After the meeting, the two tempted each other, and the old man took the opportunity to show off his identity, a detective novel writer, with a well-known reputation and a wealthy life. The little man is just a second-rate actor who is a part-time hairdresser, waiting for a job. Compared with the old man, this kind of social status made the little man a little passive, but he soon thought of a way to fight back, that is, the old man's wife. He told the old man that he and the old man's wife love each other, and the contest between the two men began.

If you want to straighten out "Footprint", it is nothing more than the three games that support the whole film. They have a clear division of labor, and each plays the role of starting, undertaking and climaxing, filling the thin number of actors and the small movie space. . If you follow the plot without blinking at the beginning, you will find a lot of foreshadowings buried: vehicles parked outside the window, scars on your hands, the number of shots, and the truth of the matter covered in the dialogue. There is no doubt that this is definitely not a cinema movie that you can watch while eating popcorn. Because you may miss the key parts when you lose your mind, this is why the film is hung with the word "suspense".

It can be said that this is a highly polarized movie. There are 10,000 reasons for people who dislike it, including Jude Law's severely receding hairline. Not to mention those who like it, they will play it over and over again, just to find out why the movie has such a surprising ending, they will be so arrogant about it, even SM can associate it with motivation. Speaking of motivation (the thoughts that the movie wants to convey to people), in the beginning, the director, screenwriter, and actors did not hide it. Do you remember what the old man said? "This is just a game." As a detective novelist who has a natural desire for control and a second-rate actor who loves adventure and is full of uncertainties, the two want to win each other's games. The essence of the game is winning or losing and the rules. If a person wins under the constraints of the rules, this is the real winner, and one is indispensable. The old man in the movie competes with the little man to win or lose, and it is still to wait for everyone to make their own conclusions after watching the movie. After all, "One thousand readers, one thousand Hamlet."

END

postscript: This is one of the films that I seldom resist not being spoiled when writing a film review. people. But for a good film, spoilers are tantamount to disaster. PS: I think only the untranslated movie title "BLEUTH" is worthy of the inexplicable tension, confrontation, and magical feelings that the movie shows.
A roar: Qiu Hua, what are you doing so enchanting! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
