Real humanity and step-by-step choice

Ah, ah, there are spoilers.

This film is called "The Disappearance of Alice". I just saw two people kidnapped Alice and behaved like a normal kidnapping and ransom case for a while. Doubtful: Isn't this kidnapping Alice? Why is the title called "The Disappearance of Alice"? If the gangster tears the ticket and throws the corpse into the wilderness, although it is also called missing, obviously I don’t think the director will play with the audience like that...I only know the meaning of the movie’s name until I see the last scene, and then exclaim the director’s intentions. Good.
As mentioned above, the film begins with a kidnapping case that is commonplace. At the beginning of the movie, two men were purchasing decoration products. The rhythmic scenes gave people a very comfortable impression. There was no dialogue at the beginning of the film for a long time, and it was very crowded, but because of the extremely rhythmic picture, it didn't make people feel impatient. I think the sense of rhythm is reflected in the various details of the whole movie-the purchase at the beginning of the film, each time the door is opened and closed, each time the two gangsters bind and loosen Alice and so on. Generally speaking, it is disgusting for such long and complicated pictures to appear in a movie with a total length of less than one or two hours, but in this movie, these plots are not at all uncomfortable. The complex picture repeated this time actually acts as a buffer. After the film began, every dialogue was accompanied by extremely strong conflicts, and these complicated and repetitive plots played a role in alleviating conflicts in the middle. In a sense, they also played a reminder and appetite. They I'm all telling you one thing: there is a good show to watch. The director's grasp of the rhythm of the picture is one of the big reasons why I admire this film. It is also an important reason why I think this movie is so brilliant.
After talking about the director's grasp of the details in the film, let's talk about the various roles in the film. Only three people appeared in the entire nearly two-hour movie-the two kidnappers Danny, Vic and the kidnapper Alice. All conversations only appeared between these three people, and the scenes in the film were only confined to hidden places of detention, groves, abandoned factories, and country roads, especially the time spent in the cabin where Alice was detained. Most of the film. There is no doubt that this is a small-cost movie, but the amazing thing about this movie is that the director can express the story to the fullest with only these limited materials. Or it is precisely because there are fewer characters, fewer scenes, and each person's personality that the conflict between people will be more full. Speaking of which, I think the director was a clean-minded person at least when he was making this movie-everything that appears is meaningful, and nothing meaningless is not allowed to stay at all.
Danny has the most shots in the whole film. He seems to be weak in body and cowardly character. The film has been an aggrieved character for a long time at the beginning of the film, until one time when Vic was out, he entered the room where Alice was imprisoned and stretched out his hand to touch her. From here, Danny has begun to break away from our original impression of him, although it is not obvious here. After Alice was about to escape successfully under the guise of going to the toilet, we discovered the story hidden behind this kidnapping-the rich girl Alice and the kidnapper Danny are in a relationship. There was a big conflict here, and Alice, who wanted to escape, finally listened to Danny's words and decided to pretend to be kidnapped to get the money, and the two went away. But then, we discovered that Danny and Vic were actually a couple. From then on, we had all kinds of speculations about the ending: Who would Danny choose in the end? Alice or Vic? Which one is true when he said I love you to two people? Although in the following plot, we can see that Danny is more attentive to Alice than to Vic (a common tragedy of gay=_=), but judging from his guard against Alice, he actually doesn’t believe it. Alice. I think Alice also saw this, so she didn't show all the trust, and then there was a naked battle... This is the real humanity that the director tried to express to us-trust is mutual and mutual The difficulty is, if you don't get the sincerity of others, the first thing you think of is never to give your sincerity. Human nature is complicated. It is never absolute good or absolute evil, never absolutely believes in absolute betrayal, so Danny almost killed Alice in a rage, but still nervously sees whether she is still alive and pays her back. Relieved alive. I don't think he can say that he doesn't love Alice, but no one can do anything but selfishness. This can also explain the inevitability of Vic's decision to kill Danny after knowing that Danny betrayed him. The director just wanted to tell us that human nature is complex, human nature is fragile, and human nature is self-preserving. Once love is mixed with betrayal, it will rarely be forgiveness, and most of it will be revenge and abandonment.
I believe that from the beginning to the end of the movie, everyone who watches the movie is guessing how it will end. The direction of the plot depends entirely on the choice of the characters in the film. The scene where Danny swallowed the shell twice must be fresh in everyone's memory. In fact, this is also an expression of the role. Danny wanted to destroy the shell, indicating that he had chosen to betray Vic, but the bullet shell that could not be washed away gave him room to think, so after thinking about it, he firmly chose to betray Vic. The second time he spit out the bullet, it was actually another opportunity to make a choice: Do you want to tell Vic everything and abandon Alice who betrayed him? But Danny still chose to betray Vic. From then on, I thought, in the end, it's impossible for two people to stay together and fly. Danny was separated from Vic and Alice, and the 2 million ransom could only fall into the hands of one of the three. I think it can also be said that in fact the dominance of the film is in the hands of Danny, and his two choices have greatly affected the development of the plot. For Alice, she found that Danny did not fully believe in herself, and she thought that since he had never revealed his identity before, it was enough to show that he was not worthy of his complete trust, so she had the idea of running away, but it also caused Danny completely abandoned himself. This shows that the feelings between people never work unilaterally, but are the result of interaction. No one wants to let themselves be hurt, so there is suspicion, suspicion accumulates, and eventually become hatred and betray each other. This is true human nature.
The ending of the film is unexpected, but considering the plot laid out by the director before and the emotions accumulated between the three people, such an ending may be inevitable. Vic decides to kill Danny who betrayed him. Danny escapes and returns to the abandoned factory. At this time, he still has the initiative: who can survive to enjoy the 2 million. At this time, Danny no longer has any emotions that can be called love for Vic. Maybe he really loved Vic. After all, Vic protected him, but Vic had already thought of putting him to death. His only good feelings for Vic have been exposed with the fact of betrayal and Vic Going to kill him to vent his anger and disappear. So Vic must not live to the end. In the end, Danny told Alice that it would be fine if you listened to me at the time. I don't think this means that if Alice had always believed that he would cooperate with him, they would share the 2 million. The pressure of killing is enormous. Our moral values limit our evil deeds. We will be condemned for doing bad things. So when Danny killed Vic and felt deeply guilty, he thought if Alice had not betrayed him at the time. He can no longer have to bear a life, and he can feel that he still has some kindness. But that was just self-deception, because he didn't trust Alice from the beginning, and even the frank so-called real plan when Alice tried to escape successfully was so pale and weak.
But the positive and optimistic life rules tell us that bad guys will always get retribution (...), so Danny, who was seriously injured, lost blood and died in the rain of money, and Vic, who was shot, gave it with the last strength. The Alice key allowed her to escape. After experiencing the fright of life and death, Alice walked out of the abandoned factory ignorantly. The picture of the film gradually changed from the darkness of the basement to the sun, with typical color hints. Then she found Danny's car parked aside, and he had died. Alice dragged Danny out of the driver's seat and sat in by herself. The music in the car was so joyful that she was saved but she didn't react from it all. Then she began to suffer. In the film, Alice suffered many times, but only this time she cried with all her emotions calmly. She is venting, releasing the pressure from the thrilling life and death experience of the past few days. What happened in the past few days is too profound, so I don't think it makes any sense to discuss whether Alice still loves Danny at this moment. Love or not, she just wants to quickly get out of this bad experience. Then when she finished venting, she turned on the cheerful music again, looked at the huge sums of money around her, and drove to a distance that no one knew. At this point, we finally realized what the title "The Disappearance of Alice" meant-the kidnappers who kidnapped her killed each other, and Alice, who took her own ransom, flew high and became an incognito rich woman, "Alice". So missing in the kidnapping incident.
Finally, I have to mention the director's mastery of the picture. Towards the end of the film, the director showed us several important scenes: the house and bed where Alice was imprisoned, the small truck carrying all the evil, Vic who died in the basement, and finally returned to the crying Alice in the car. It can be regarded as a review of everything, and a sense of peace of mind that everything has passed. Once again, I feel that the director is really a mental sanity sufferer, and no picture is unnecessary.
It has to be said that watching the entire film makes people feel incisive and vivid. I have always felt that the movies that I can watch from start to finish are all good movies (personal opinion, personal opinion...), this movie is. The plot is compact, the rhythm is clear, and the picture is strong. Is there any reason not to say that this is a good film!
