The paper man should be referring to the fragility and loneliness. The movie is about the friendship between a pair of lonely year-end friends, and the unsocial traits (the mature and immature ones should not be mature precociously). This makes them so special among their peers. The ending is good. They helped each other out of a somewhat autistic world.
People more or less always feel lonely and helpless, and there may be someone in the subconscious (getting in it is mentally ill) communicating with you when you are lonely and giving you ideas. But when faced with all the hesitations, there is a problem. Life should be natural, calm, and easy. It should be said that everything should not be forced to a higher level. Happy and unhappiness are part of life. The most important thing is to have a sense of existence, which is ok.

    It's not what I expected, but it's the familiar style of lonely and sad literary films. Two lonely souls warm each other, "salvage" each other, and liberate the fantasy character in their hearts. The overall is quite satisfactory, movie posters always like to use RR to cheat on the cover~
