An old captain, after World War I and World War II, brought new recruits to tide over the difficulties. With rich experience, he presents the main battles in North Africa, France, Belgium, and Germany from the perspective of five people.
Happily, they delivered the woman in the tank, tied the foot with the tank chain, and took out the baby with a condom.
There is sadness, watching the piles of skeletons in the concentration camp, and the dying children, which makes people feel heartache.
I like the captain. He is seasoned, patriotic, cold-faced but caring for his rookie recruits. He is a perfect soldier, not a cold killing machine.
A few excerpts;
"We are not murdering, we are murdering."
"Am I going to be castrated (he stepped on a landmine)?"
"No, only one is broken. That's why God wants to give you two."
In short, this is an unforgettable war movie.
