The plot is simple and compact, the four protagonists have excellent acting skills, and the graphics and soundtrack are perfect.
What is even more surprising is that the development of the plot suddenly reached a climax at the end. For a few minutes, I couldn't even pay attention to the soot in my hand and stared at the screen intently.
Next is a simple
spoiler title called The Ledge, translated into a windowsill, and a download site translated as a jumper.
It is not difficult to see that the main line of the film is the jumper Gavin (Charlie Hunnam)
and those who specialize in enlightening those who try to commit suicide. Conversation with Negotiator Hollis (Terrence Howard)
Gavin's story
He was married and had a beautiful daughter, but because of an accidental daughter's death, he divorced his wife, and later he worked as a hotel manager. Gavin's neighbors are a young couple. Her husband Joe (Patrick Wilson) is a devout Christian, and his wife Shana (Liv Tyler) works part-time in the hotel where Gavin works with Gavin's help.
Gradually, Gavin fell in love with Shana hopelessly, and they cheated on Joe on their backs, but they were discovered by the keen Joe. So Joe hijacked Shana and
told Gavin to jump off the roof in front of Joe and Shana, otherwise Joe would kill Shana himself... The story of Hollis,
he was originally a very happy father of two children, and the relationship between husband and wife is also Very good, but because of an accidental opportunity, Hollis found that he had been unable to bear children. Although the wife explained that she was only pregnant through artificial insemination in order to keep Hollis, Hollis has always been
concerned ...The above is the main line of the whole film, through Hollis on the windowsill to persuade Gavin to give up the suicide dialogue, bit by bit pave the way.
Sometimes there will be a little procrastination in the process, but when all the reasons are clear, the moment the truth comes to light, the whole plot is brought to a climax.
As for whether Gavin finally jumped, whether Joe killed Shana or not, how did Hollis face two non-natural flesh and blood who had been raised for several years. I don't know it, let's feel this story slowly.
Anyway, it would be boring to tell the whole plot just through the dialogue between the man who jumped from the building and the negotiator.
Therefore director Matthew Chapman penetrated a lot of strong concepts in Gavin's memories,
such as Gavin and Joe's fierce discussion about whether there really is a God, the authenticity of religion;
and Gavin's roommate: a pair of GAY lives, hope, and destruction;
and The past that Shana once stumbled;
and the story of Joe...and so on
, etc. Therefore, although most of the time in this film is Gavin's recollection of bits and pieces
, it is caused by the introduction of various concepts. The process won’t seem very boring.
Finally, the soundtrack of Gavin and Shana’s first affair in the film
Lisbeth Scott’s "Everything" is really nice,
but
I can’t find the complete one by myself after searching Google . A paragraph for sharing.
Perhaps because I have never written a
lot of comments so seriously, I can’t find the right words in my mind to describe it.
Finally, I strongly recommend this film.
