It feels very depressing, but it looks good

Soon after the movie opens, you can feel a strong atmosphere of horror. Slowly, as the male protagonist Gregory continues to torment the heroine Paula. This horrible atmosphere adds a heavy sense of depression. It even made me almost violated the "viewing guidelines" I set for myself in the process of watching the movie-never press the fast forward button, not to say , The movie is "not good-looking", but this repressive atmosphere has reached the point where it is almost suffocating.
Even until the end of the film (when the final rivalry between the male and female protagonists took place), I still felt that Paula didn't get out of Gregory's mental torture, and would rush forward and kill each other with a single blow.
The actors and actresses all contributed to the most wonderful performances. Of course, the best performers were the male protagonist Charles Boyer and the female protagonist Ingrid Bergman.
Gregory, played by Charles Boyer, exudes a creepy taste, and this taste is also revealed through the pure temperament of a British gentleman, which makes the character of Gregory even more frightening.
What about Ingrid Bergman? She has a deep, sensual and charming voice, dazed, stray eyes, rich, and always the right body language....... All of this, very clearly, is telling you that she herself is this "woman on the verge of mental breakdown"!
Finally, by the way, in the process of watching the movie, I seem to naturally think of Agatha Christie and Alfred Hitchcock, but I did not expect George Cukor, oh! Poor George Cukor! (laugh).
