This film is much better than "2012"!

From the perspective of the human, material and financial resources invested, from the perspective of the scope of the screening and the influence of the film itself, and even from the perspective of the number of audiences, "Hot Questions about Time Travel" and "2012" are definitely not at the same level. Comparing the issues just mentioned between the two is as unreliable as letting a newborn kitten and African bison have a weight ratio. But if the two are to compare creativity and sincerity, then this analogy can be reversed. I have watched three sci-fi movies recently: "Hot Questions about Time Travel", "2012" and "Violence Zone 13 2". The first film is the biggest surprise and reward. For the other two, I will find another one. Time ridiculed them.
Although "Hot Questions" is an independent film produced at a small cost (even in terms of production, it is somewhat close to the level of DV selfie movies), but it is very similar to the early Quentin Tarantino. In addition, the film’s British ancestry also gives it the kind of nonsensical but logically charming temperament of "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy". Who knows, I really love this style of watching American sitcoms, and I love the temperament of the characters in the film: the cute sci-fi otaku are "saving" in the conversation and in the various scenes with no action. In the world, children’s paradise workers who want to become famous writers yelled "The script is king!", and the film also contributed a wonderful and exquisite script. This sentence also hit my heart, although I will blink after being bombarded by various "extinction" special effects in "2012" I still think "2012" is a bad film, thank goodness, "Hot Questions" helped me explain the reason: "The script is king!"
I just said that "Hot Questions" has an exquisite script, which is a necessity for the success of classic time travel movies. Think about the success of the "Back to the Future" series. If there is no such future "self" trying to avoid the bridge segment of the current "self", then this may only be an ordinary action movie. "Butterfly Effect" is doing well. The most embarrassing thing is the "Thunder and Dongdong" that returns to the age of dinosaurs. That film is so bad that you can't even remember the name. Discussing settings such as the “Paradox of Ancestral Diplomacy” and “Chaos Theory” in time travel is completely a pastime in a bar for the British who like deduction and created Sherlock Holmes. Maybe the film was originally made by the main creators like this. Later, the script was constantly improved, and finally the BBC and HBO became interested, bang! This film was born.
At this point, I finally got my idea. What I admire is not exactly this film. What I admire is the people who created it. They are just like us, just ordinary people, they may have some creative ideas, but they insist on working hard. In the end, these "ideas" become "reality". We all hope that we are such a person, at least I hope that we are such a person, so when I watched "The Sun Like Me", I was excited for Will in the film, but it was actually for the script of Matt Damon, who just debuted. Excited; when I watched "Shaun Zombie" a few years ago, I was also excited for Peggy, the creator who just debuted, and when I watched "Hot Questions" today, I was also excited for these creative young people. This also reminds us once again that wonderful sci-fi films do not need to blow up or capsize to keep the audience's sight. It can also rely on wonderful lines and exquisite scripts.

  • Ray: Little bit weird, but ummm... turns out everybody in the future, American.

  • Ray: Chaos theory is basically the idea that tiny things can have huge consequences. So because you delayed me from going through there, all of the little things that I was going to do have been delayed subsequently, and that has a knock-on effect - which can totally change the future.

Cassie: So... So wait, that means you're going to drink your pint a little bit later, which means... You're going to go to the bathroom a little bit later... My God Ray, you're right! That's terrible, we're all doomed!
