As for the ultimate goal of Dodger, the screenwriters did a relatively easy job in the whole process. First, they used the connotation of "the wolf is coming", and secondly, they captured the characteristics of Owen (Owen is kind, likes Dodger and is smart, and has a high degree of trust in Dodger = =), and finally grasped the time to put the "bait", strung up the whole line so that Owen finally shot the teacher who played Bon Jovi.
However, I think this film is clever, but the game itself has too many loopholes. As for why the smart Owen finally realized the purpose of Dodger, I think psychological pressure is a very important aspect. Owen was scared at first, and really thought there was a killer. When he was scared by others later, he couldn't even see the flaws. It can be seen that he also responded to Bonjovi’s line: "I think you (referring to Owen) or Don't be self-righteous." Here are some details about Owen's mistakes:
1. Because she liked Dodger, she didn't pay attention to her behavior of "accusing the neighbor" and blindly trust her.
2. It is basically unreasonable to witness the killing of others (for example, not seeing the corpse or wreck in person) but not caring about it. A typical example is the corpse in the chapel. If it is dismembered, it must have a smell, so that everyone will not find it until they see the blood. If it is not dismembered and fresh, with so much blood flowing there, how can the murderer carry the body into the church? After all, that guy’s disappearance is not a matter of a day or two. You can’t catch people and wait until that day to take them to school and kill them in the church, right? But since this happens every time in many emergency situations, it is common sense to be ignored. But unreasonable situations happen again and again, that should be questionable.
3. Had preconceived ideas about Bon Qiaowei and finally thought that he was the murderer;
4. It was the final plot. Bon Qiaowei knew that the other party had a gun and brought clothes into the door. If he was a murderer, why would he be so stupid to take clothes to deepen Owen's suspicion, and only used such a bad excuse "found from the aisle"?
5. A murderer who has made a precise plan can "kill" according to the plan before. Why will the murderer's gun be given to you when you Owen (the revealed plan is only shot but not executed)? Owen played back the scene when the gun was fired, but didn't notice that the gun was in his own hands before. Did the murderer get you a gun in order to carry out this plan, and then grab it and shoot you in the chest? Is there such a bt murderer?
