"Malcolm & Marie" is translated as "Malcolm and Mary", this movie almost presents a short period of unconsistent life in the form of a stage play. The dialogue between the film creator Malcolm and his girlfriend Marie after get off work for an hour and a half, whether persuaded or not persuaded, or suppressed and counter-suppressed, is just an attempt to find a stable and loved position in the emotional relationship.
Marie is always looking for the moments needed by Malcolm in this emotional relationship. She hopes that the story under Malcolm's lens is entirely made up of herself as a prototype. She hopes that Malcolm needs her opinion when doing anything. Yeah, it seems We always think that a steady stream of emotions can only be produced by exchanges and gains. It seems that we have really messed up everything. Uneasiness and confusion make us more and more separate ourselves from purer emotions.
And Malcolm’s answer to Marie’s complaint reminded me of the love that I only had when I was young. It seems to always be floating in the sky, but no one has ever doubted that it is ethereal and no one has clamored for it to land, so that everyone can Peace of mind.
Malcolm said, if I don't need you, why should I be with you? You want to control our relationship, because you can't imagine that the reason why I am with you is just because I love you, not because I have a need for you. There are people in this world who just love you purely, I love your way of thinking, and I love your way of observing the world, Marie.
