The free blue moon of Memphis

I love this one more than "Earth Night".

The other name of the film is "The Blue Moon in Memphis". In the three stories, what is the Blue Moon? Love stories, stories of travellers meeting by the water, stories of escape from desperadoes. The three stories are connected by a hotel, a conversation between the lobby manager and the waiter, and a program on the radio. In the parallel time and space of Memphis, the three relationships develop. As for the people, they have their own ghosts...

Suppose that the world can be divided into countless intertwined fragments, parallel as individual parts, and “relationships” are intertwined horizontally and vertically.

In this way, I feel that "Blue Moon" is "relationship." Love, passers-by, and party relationships are intertwined and evolving in the city of Memphis, like the moon’s full cycle. As for the tone, Jamusch did not jump out of the template. The tone, music, and lens position were all used by him as a tool for brewing sadness. What's superb is that he didn't tell the sadness. Similar to the difference between a kitchen knife and my knife.

"The Blue Moon of Memphis", in other words, the sad relationships in the sad city.

The love relationship of Japanese couples conveys a sense of alienation from the position of the camera and the processing of the lines. The absent-minded dialogue and the documentary-like filming position are coldly expounding, rather than personally making people taste love. (Although, this is my ideal intimacy.)

The two women who met by the water, thought it would be like the kind described by Rohmer in "Shuangshu", but the relationship between the women is really delicate. Even if it is not a female race, Jia Muxu still chose "Ge Ying". The relationship between each other has exceeded development expectations, but it is also a loss of realism.

The last kind of "Desperate End of the World" relationship has the most indescribable sense of persecution. Probably any person will experience the "last resort", and finally the feeling of powerlessness being forced away by fate. In fact, after careful attention, I can only regret a small decision. It is the butterfly effect of the relationship that promotes the development of all things. Just take the cry of falling off the truck in the movie as a remorseful irritation.

Jia Muxu is a bit like introverted WJW, but does not have a strong personal temperament. At least this blue moon is still realistic in general.
